Anyway y'all still have time to binge watch all the CSB videos before the current administration destroys yet another hard working group of experts dedicated to keeping America safe
Listen to that CGI eagle scream, see the carefully rendered overhead pan of petrochemical safety systems and then tell me with a straight face that the CSB doesn't deserve to have its budget quadrupled for the videos alone
Watch the first 15 seconds of this video and tell me you're not HOOKED and INVESTED in propylene detection systems

Watch even a single CSB investigation of a chemical plant meltdown and you realize how many plant operators, emergency response personnel, and entire Gulf coast cities will be at risk if the US Chemical Safety and Hazard Inspection Board is axed #CSB

Seeing federal courts slash away at the Voting Rights Act, some states, like Colorado, are seeking to resurrect fallen protections for non-white voters with their own versions of the landmark law passed during the height of the Civil Rights Movement.

A bill that would make it harder to remove books from public school libraries cleared its first legislative hurdle Monday night.
“It’s never been more important to protect the freedom to read,” said bill sponsor state Sen. Lisa Cutter. “Free societies don’t ban books.”

"Proud Boys chapters across the country can no longer legally use their own name or the group’s traditional symbols without the permission of [...] the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church."
If You Interact with ICE Agents at Work: Ask if you are free to leave. If so, you may calmly walk out. You have the right to refuse consent to a search. You have the right to remain silent. You do not have to discuss your immigration status with anyone, such as about where you were born, whether you are a citizen, or how you entered the country. If you have valid immigration documents, you should show them. Never provide fake documents. If you are arrested, say that you wish to remain silent until speaking with a lawyer. You have the right to record your interaction with immigration agents as long as you do not interfere.
If ICE Agents Show Up at Your Door You do not have to open the door. If you do, stay calm – you have rights. Ask what they are there for (and ask for an interpreter if you need one). If they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant signed by a judge and if so, ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door). If they do not have a warrant signed by a judge, you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any information at your door. If they force their way in, do not resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent. If you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent. Do not sign anything until you speak with a lawyer.
Tú tienes derecho a guardar silencio.
Regardless of your immigration status in the U.S., you have guaranteed rights under the Constitution. Know your rights and assert them.
That’s such an “awkward gesture.”

Yeah, same! I think preserving the platforms with journalists who still have ethics and standards is pretty urgent to our society unfortunately
A decade+ of investor-backed "free" software and content has made us all forget that creators need to be compensated for their work. And most people (me included) don't realize how bad most streaming platforms are for artists until someone educates them
Complaining about paywalls is the most embarrassing way to admit you want a journalist's labor for free
