The first appearance of Doc Ock—I read this story in a Pocket Comics paperback in the ‘70s, and I loved the shadow over Otto Octavius on the cover. Trés mystérieux!

…the last few chapters completely upended the entire experience for me, and I found myself not only loving the novel, but also deeply reflecting on its central message about the transformative power of kindness and compassion—and what can happen when we bother to truly see other people.
