Thanks @seanfw.bsky.social! Itโs great to hear from you!
And finally, Iโm deeply grateful to the NIH MOSAIC K99 program for supporting this project and enabling me to pursue this line of research, which I will continue in my own lab at Creighton University @creightonmedicine.bsky.social
Big shout-out to my amazing co-authors Lisa Diez, Nikki Lee, and Vivian Leeโthey were undergrads when we started, and now they are off doing incredible things in their own careers. So proud of their contributions & growth throughout this project! ๐ซ๐
Excited to share my latest work just out in @pnas.org! This NIH MOSAIC K99-funded project identifies a top-down cortical circuitโfrom cingulate to auditory cortexโthat supports auditory perceptual performance in challenging listening conditions: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
So proud of you, Mae!!!
๐ The Anbuhl Lab is hiring! ๐ We are looking to recruit team members across all levels to explore hearing and hearing loss. Interested? Letโs connect!
If youโre attending #ARO2025, Iโm hereโhappy to chat! ๐

๐จPIs of Training Grants and Programs, ESPECIALLY training grants that support students from historically excluded groups (T32s and T34s, IMSD, MARC, PREP, MOSAIC, etc.)๐จ
We need to push back on the loss of information and the disappearance of websites about these resources.
Mentors and advisors, a very impactful thing you can do right now is to assure your mentees from all backgrounds that you will continue to support them because their worth is not contingent on any program or funding mechanism ๐
