Study warns of terrifying Atlantic Ocean current collapse New research shows a critical Atlantic Ocean current system is weakening faster than expected, raising the risk of irreversible climate disruption.

โ€œThe time for half-measures is over. The choices we make in the next decade will determine whether future generations inherit a manageable climate or a world plunged into chaos.โ€

April 21 is World Curlew Day.
This photo is from a few years ago when I found a small group of overwintering Far Eastern Curlews at Port Clinton, Yorke Peninsula.
Three types of โ€˜trueโ€™ curlews can be seen in Australia: the Little Curlew, Whimbrel and Far Eastern Curlew.
Gorgeous birds!

These monsters from the Valley act as if their own perspective is the organising principle of reality. They flatten the world until it reflects their own image back at them, and they call it order. They recast dominance as necessity, exclusion as clarity, cruelty as truth-telling. What they are building is not just a politics, but a way of being in which other lives appear as obstacles, or worse, as background.
