I got up just after sunrise and went and exercised for a bit before spending part of the day with my best friend. We went to a movie and caught a late lunch.

A frame from Godzilla vs Destoroyah (1995). A man and a woman look out of a helicopter window, their faces illuminated by an orange light. They have looks of shock and amazement, no, awe on their faces. The caption reads, "It's so large." And listen, I'm not really proud of this one. But I had to do it. I randomly landed on this frame and had to post it. Sorry. Not pictured: Godzilla; Destoroyah; whatever is so large but go ahead and use your imagination

A frame from Destroy All Monsters (1968). A retro-futuristic TV screen shows Godzilla taking a leisurely stroll through the harbor of New York, New York, the city so nice they named it twice, the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, Empire City, the Five Burroughs, the city with the second best kind of pizza... New York City. The caption reads, "Godzilla has turned up in New York." Not pictured: some guy saying "ayyy I'm walkin' here" presumably

A gray, dreary day is a good day for a cup of coffee and a book.
was once New Amsterdam.
I recently discovered the Head Lopper comics, and I've been loving every minute of them. This proof of concept makes me long for an animated series that we'll probably never get.

Happy Birthday to the late, great Merle Haggard, born 89 years ago today
I got Barad-dur last year, which has the Enterprise beat by nearly 2,000 pieces. 1701-D should be a cakewalk.
I ordered that set a couple of weeks ago, and I plan on building it during my week off at the end of the month. Until then, it's just sitting in my bedroom... taunting me.
I had my first appointment with my new GP today. I appear to be the picture of health, so you're not gonna be rid of me just yet. ๐ช
The incomparable Matt Draper nails it yet again.
I bought a few games that are currently part of Steam's spring sale. One of those games was Power Wash Simulator. I loaded it up, and the next thing I knew, it was three hours later.
It's a very calm, relaxing game. I didn't realize just how much I needed something like that right now.
I unironically love Mandy. I only regret not seeing it in a theater.
If ya paid taxes on it, it ain't moonshine.
An as-yet unopened LEGO Enterprise-D.
So... I did something with part of my bonus.
I saw Project Hail Mary this afternoon. Loved it. Manly tears were shed.
I went over it a vowel at a time, and for moment I found myself pondering how one would drip a gopher before I realized which vowel you actually meant.

Hi! I don't think Toho has a bsky so I'll post it - my first commissioned work for all the official Godzilla channels and I handmade everything that isn't a toy. Enjoy xo

I've never heard anything by Afroman.
I am now a fan of Afroman.
I am but a mortal man: I see Vampirella, I like and repost Vampirella.
Bisley's a bit like Richard Corben for me: it took a while for me to really warm up to his style, but I eventually reached a point where I really started digging it.
Woke up with a sniffly nose and a throat that can't decide if it wants to be sore or not. And here I'd been doing so well at avoiding the ick...
