I'm sure the administration that places huge bets on op sec issues wouldn't be able to find any way to make money off leaking CIA operations details. Nobody with piles of cash would pay for that.

All I got was a bunch of chickadees!
"Breaching equipment" normally used by swat could be as innocuous as a shove knife or lock picks, which, while still extreme for the circumstances, paint a different picture than the battering ram.
You need to add a Hunter Biden emoji for use when talking about a particularly crazy party.
I put this in the same category as punctuation outside of the quotes - there are clear ways of doing it and correct ways of doing it, but that Venn diagram is not a circle.
Speaking of avoiding bad vibes, have you seen the Young Cardamom music video? youtu.be/DZ1OblYm5YY?...
One of the failure modes on Light Armored Vehicles is called "runaway gun" where it keeps firing despite nobody pulling the trigger. Another is "runaway turret" where the turret keeps spinning without input. I want to learn more about remediation for similar robot failures.
1) dog has self-righting ability
2) as an awkward 17/18 year old I tripped and fell in boot camp spectacularly several times.
3) Why didn't we evolve wheels?
The same week I've been seeing numerous articles about thousands of missions being run by Ukrainian Robots - maybe it's the human form factor we need to ditch.
I think the answer is probably interconnection.
If I have paint stains does that make me seem more whimsical, like some sort of artist? Should I make sure to get grease stains on my paint stained clothes so it implies something tougher?
Allbirds sold it's IP and assets last month, so at this point it feels like a hollowed out publicly traded company - kind of like a SPAC, just with a different starting point.
Vasectomies in a Cathedral basement? Man, the modern church offers services I never thought they would.
Well thought out plan to circumvent naval blockade.
It's very simple, just build a pipeline, or better yet, a canal, as indicated by this blue line. In the meantime, we can just run trucks.
Only one hour long! youtu.be/s-41UF02vrU?...
I just watched the video of the guy DIYing an air source heat pump into a geothermal and I want to try that next.
Image of a Warhammer 40k Ork.
There is a tabletop sci Fi war game called Warhammer 40k that features different armies, including the orks. I immediately thought of an over the top 'merica style painted army of orks. Full armies cost hundreds and painting requires talent I don't have. Amorks instead of Amerks.
But finding out how we ran into such a shortage is also pretty important - for that, I like "the color of law" by Rothstein. Then the folks over at @strongtowns.org have some good work on how we've compounded the original nimby sins it with more policy.
I have an idea for my next Warhammer 40k army*.
* I don't have Warhammer money
you see, David, it's Civics that's the problem. Or the solution. Or something.
The victims know how it looks, and they come forward anyway. They endure the indignities of shitty people on social media and in their lives questioning their accounts and judgment. I can't tell you why they're doing it, but they are protecting the next generation of young women in government.
Very annoying sentence: "There were 3.6 million births in the U.S. in 2025 and birth tourism likely represents a fraction of total births."
Which fraction, Reuters?
You just gave the denominator, and according to the previous paragraph, the right-wing estimate of the numerator is at most 25,000.
A competent admin could probably combine the American military capacity ($$) with Ukrainian knowledge for a more effective anti-shahed system than we've seen in either theater.
Do you think there is a higher concentration of white supremacists on the north side of town so they can have addresses with "FM 1488"?
Ugh, I listened to your whole piece and it changed my perspective. Lame.
I appreciate the "I'm not doing this because it's the right thing, but because it makes money" framing. If it doesn't make money, it won't grow and it won't help as many people. Same idea in renewable energy.
Wait, does this mean that all the employees will use irresponsible financing to close deals, cash out, and avoid accountability by having the underlying organization declare bankruptcy?
"But that's not political, that's just science" - Andy Weir, in 2032 as conservative podcast hosts tie him to a stake and start to like the kindling.
