The Luquillo Parrot, relies on old growth forests in Puerto Rico to nest in. Habitat destruction dwindled the population to 13 birds. The birds are now managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, increasing numbers to 100s of birds.

Oligarchs, theocrats & the lives of children is the theme of this painting I made in 2013. Hoosier School Heist is a money trail doc following Indiana Gov Mike Pence’s dissolution of public education during a divided Republican party, ushering in the modern MAGAs. What can I create for you?

Axolotl by Theresa Rosado

The axolotl is an endangered variety of aquatic salamander endemic to the chinampas, the native gardens of Mexico. A symbol of native identity, Axolotls are named after the Aztec twin deity of maize, agave and water, Xolotl & the underworld version of the feathered serpent deity Quetzalcoatl.

A 2001 Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at Robert Busby’s Creole Gallery. The spaces Robert & Barb Morris created for artists are the partial inspiration behind Casa de Rosado Galeria & Cultural Center. Artist centered leadership &may have its challenges but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

A fun painting I made of Wayne Gorbea y Salsa Caliente. It started as a sketch from an evening they performed at the Michigan Folk Festival in East Lansing during the 90s. Tombone player Rick Davies, picked one of my paintings for his album Salsa Strut. It was a lot of fun to paint! #theresarosado
