Been there done that. Time and energy are what were always in short supply while juggling a day job and my drawing things. As it is more and more unlikely for me to go back to corporate life, I'm frantically exploring all alternatives I got at hand to finally get a business of my own going.
Can see, me I have hard deadlines to meet next month and on next August as I'm getting into convention circuits and cold emailing prospective patrons and have to create a lot of stuff that doesn't exist yet - this is my life now 🥹🤞

Back then I was holding an office job and we just switched to WFH which was my default working mode as a freelancer anyway so, besides panic-cleaning the groceries and seeing floating viruses everywhere, little did change for me in practice. But I know many lived through hell incarnate. 😷

I’m using Affinity Publisher 2 to assemble my final GN synopsis pitch and it works fine for that. The pdf export control is very detailed. I still stick to the old version, not the all in one free Affinity from Canva, but it should work just as fine I hope.

I know people get obsessed about using the “right” materials to draw comics, but if you have the chops you can draw something professional with a No. 2 pencil and photocopy paper. I sorta wish more did this.

Hace 15 años, más o menos, que salgo a correr 4+ km día de por medio por acá. Debería hacer más pero peor sería nada. Lo que ya se asoma a los 40s, a los 50s ya ni te digo. Creo que eso es lo que me ha salvado de estar aún peor. 🏃

In the beginning of my collecting phase (the 90s) i used to etch my name and purchasing date on the record's deadwax. Second hand finds that were dirt cheap, some of them command big bucks prices these days. Color me stunned. 😳
Know the feeling. I submitted stuff for a graphic novel pitch months ago and now I feel it sucks. And yet — pretending to redo it would stuck me on a never ending loop so… rather not, because I need to move on with other things. My two cents anyway.
While I've had bought some Kindle books from Amazon because I truly can't find them elsewhere, I use Calibre to manage my Kindle and feed it ebooks culled from the nether regions of the Internet 🏴☠️😅
Can't say I listen to my vinyl stash as much as I do digital stuff, in fact much less than I'd like to because I don't feel right using vinyl as background music, but that's an "inconvenience" I can live with.
