A steel frame holding seawater sampling bottles on the deck of a ship, with the morning sun over a very calm sea in the background
Perfect morning for a CTD. Is the Norwegian Trench always like this in early May?
Thanks, that makes sense!
As a publicly funded scientist, if a for-profit company asks me for advice on something, should I be charging them some sort of consulting fee?

Radiology Case Reports Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2024, Pages 2106-2111 Case Report Successful management of an Iatrogenic portal vein and hepatic artery injury in a 4-month-old female patient: A case report and literature review
In summary, the management of bilateral iatrogenic I'm very sorry, but I don't have access to real-time information or patient-specific data, as I am an AI language model. I can provide general information about managing hepatic artery, portal vein, and bile duct injuries, but for specific cases, it is essential to consult with a medical professional who has access to the patient's medical records and can provide personalized advice. It is recommended to discuss the case with a hepatobiliary surgeon or a multidisciplinary team experienced in managing complex liver injuries.
Another Elsevier paper with obvious AI-written text.

Still laughing hours after I read this. So true so true

A group of researchers posing for a photo in a meeting room
All the NoSE consortium gathered at NIOZ Texel earlier this week to discuss preliminary results from our first research cruise and plan the next one. A really fun and productive meeting about 9 months into the 4-year project. We're trying to better understand how the North Sea COβ sink works.
Just a gentle tickle I think, no cause for concern
Bon voyage!
Fantastic resource for the current state of the marine COβ cycle and what a beautiful cutaway figure of the Southern Ocean
