I only watch Colbert now and even with him sometimes I tune out. The problem is that if you make light of a really bad situation without being deliberate about it, just end up normalizing the situation or minimizing its seriousness.

I'm all for staying informed and talking politics but it does get overwhelming here a bit. There should be more cat videos and such to just give people a breather once in a while.

I've noticed people like this who call themselves Democrats & seem just as brainwashed as MAGAs. They accept no criticism of the Democratic Party and seem to focus their hate on Progressives to a degree they don't even show for Republicans. Why don't people talk about this? It's weird.

There has't been a true appeal to the Left since Carter. They mostly lose elections, Obama won only bc he's Obama and Biden won because people hated Trump. They refuse to understand that their strategy of couting the middle and middle-right is a losing one for them and for the good of the country.

The fact that they are getting continuous calls from constituents to fight back and not only ignore these calls but go on to muzzle Democrats who do fight back, shows that they are in no way capable of meeting the moment.
