You got this, kick some butt!
Another custom hat in the books! Laser-engraved patch on a black Flexfit. It's always a fun process
Another custom hat in the books! Laser-engraved patch on a black Flexfit. It's always a fun process seeing these come together for small businesses.
Working with a new leatherette material for hat patches. Haven't heat pressed it on yet but I think it looks pretty good.
Yes, I'll have the normal easy sells like dragons, but I've been kicking around some ideas for battery accessories (for DeWalt batteries, because I have *SO MANY* tools. My dad used to work there in R&D) - This would give me a month to develop some ideas and have them ready for the event.
I am going to get one of the small booths at the Dayton Hamvention next month. Usually at Amateur radio festivals I have some 3d prints with me, but primarily focus on my live onsite engraving with my xtool f1. This year I think I'll have a small selection that you can order for engraving only.
I was curious how much bigger of a crystal dragon I could print on the H2S vs my old P1S. Am not disappointed, over 3 feet!
This cracked me up. A part I designed (carb air filter adapter) got banned from this one track. They made some funny claims about the performance. On 4 dynos and 7 motors it always added 10-13 horsepower. The day after this ban, we sold more than any prior day.
Laser engraving some hat patches too
Lol. I've been making stuff for race car drivers mostly off-road. They all travel with replacement parts in their trailers and shocks are oddly shaped and use a lot of space
Today we're making wall mounts for crown vic shocks.
Those little tweaks can waste a slew of test prints lol
This one was.... something.
Another recent project I've wrapped up - Helmet dryer with scene tray.
Looks fantastic!
I recently revised a design for a storage container to instead work as a storage solution for gears. 5 sets per box, and since it's based on a standard grid they're stackable. Turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
It's still on a shelf should I ever get the desire to revisit it. Lol. Or get the desire to use the extruder in a diy recycler
What isn't? Bed doesn't want to level, adhesion doesn't like to happen, seems to lose track of its position along the y axis. It was a very bad starter machine lol
That was my first but it was a freebie someone pulled from a dumpster. I never got it working reliably. Ended up shelving it and got bambu p1s's. I keep it because I'm convinced I'll eventually build a filament machine using it's extruder
Kill it with fire. I have one of those on a shelf gathering dust after many hours of frustration.
Been printing a good while now but I still love the articulating dragons, cliche as that may be.
Food and a smoke, that'll turn it around for sure!
Hope it got better for ya!
I've made a little over 100 different ones now. Each car has ~10 grommets of varying bar diameter and angle off of the body. Some require a straight edge cut along a body edge, some need abnormally large bases to cover bigger holes. 14 different sets now for 14 different chassis.
They're TPU so you can flex them around the already in place roll cage, and then riveted to the body panel.
Yep, the grommets. The roll cage just cuts through the body down to the frame, so the idea is to fashionably hide the cut holes.
@ubermeisters.bsky.social It's pretty cool seeing something you designed in the wild.
Went to new york city this week, had a pretty decent view from the hotel room. Good times.
Love me some gold or silver silk
Nevermind the mess. Made this template for my xtool f1 slide so I can engrave 7 metal business cards at a time, which is nice. Just some simple tabs to hold it together, since it's longer than what I can print.
