Justice for those seditious bastards would including being hanged...
In a discussion with a traffic engineer, I asked him to hold up a thin piece of cardboard, about the thickness of the paint on the road, in front of his face and let me take a punch at it to see how much protection it would give... point made...
Beavers do a great job banking the water for later in the season release! They need to be re-established in all the headwater streams.
I dropped them this year as the program would not work on a Windows 10 machine..... Switched to H&R Block.
True, but they do it.......
not just drivers, but road departments think that a foot wide lane with drop off or a seam to the cement gutter is a bike path...
I stood up and cheered when your credits scrolled by... unfortunately I was the only person left in the theater...
This is why we need to reestablish beaver populations in the headwater streams. They will help retain the rain in groundwater and their ponds which mimics the retention in late melting snow. We are looking at rain to 9000' in the current storm here in the Sierras.
Unfortunately most people do not understand that it takes a lot of water to melt snow. What really melts snow is a relatively warm wind. A 40 degree wind at 20+mph is like a blow torch to the snowpack. They also think that settling of the snow is melt. Ice cubes would melt instantly in drinks...
IT IS THE SIERRAS...
It has always been the Sierras in the 70 years I have been recreating and living near them. It will continue to be the Sierras...
It is the same thing here in Eastern Nevada. The Sierras got back to normal, but didn't do much for the east half of the state.
Re-institute the De Minimus rule for small foreign purchases!
Shifting baseline syndrome....
Fantastic!!!!! We need more good coverage of wildlife and habitat like this in the major media.
Sidewalks and bike lanes is where they intentionally pile up the snow from the roads... Need to do a mass ride in the plowed lane to get the point across to the road departments that this is unacceptable...
Need more bunny stories!!!
Also, those painted lines on a high speed road offer no protection and any of those car doors could be opened without looking... The lane is not wide enough for cargo bikes or adult tricycles... If it is like around here, even the painted lane will end without connection to another.....
Yup, destroying our public lands, eliminating wildlife, causing fires and floods, and drying up our watersheds....
Racism, pure and simple...
Congratulations, Tom, you have just won a week long fishing trip in the area in the Caribbean. Your speedboat will be outfitted with bags of supplies to make your last days down there more comfortable...
"Accidents" caused by this malfeasance should be thoroughly attributed to the engineer(s) and litigated to the maximum extent of the law... (sue the ba*tards and give them jail time...)
Needs to be beaver!!! Can also be wetlands and stream restoration using them.
New roads and reconstruction of older roads must have protected bike lanes. It is gross negligence to not include this, and the agencies/engineering staff need to be held liable for damages.
