"Triggered much?" is what a troll says when one of their targets gets bothered by their posts. Here, senior US official Greg Bovino redeploys it to defend/celebrate a literal murder in the physical world.

Suppose we were to think of it as a submerging market instead? Better? Or worse?
we’re living through the national version of that conversation where you’re like, hey, I don’t think grandpa should be driving anymore, but our cousins are all like, fuck that, give him the keys! grandpa rules! I bet he could drive 1000 miles per hour!
All the talk of "balance" in journalism produced a culture where constant sane-washing of the right isn't just allowed, it's expected and required.
I just use the 'how long since' app every five or ten minutes. It's the only way to be sure.
I reckon my age in minutes now. It's the pre-post-post-post-modern way to go.
‘More people on the street’: Federal cuts threaten to undo Boston’s progress fighting homelessness… www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/12/b... @andrewbrinker.bsky.social
Another example of an article framed by Trump’s pov that barely mentions that Trump, in fact, decisively lost the 2020 election and continues to lie about it, and that he is repeating conspiracy theories with no basis in fact.

It's that Wilhoit's Law thing again, isn't it?
Malaysia and Indonesia have become the first countries to block Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Elon Musk's xAI, after authorities said it was being misused to generate sexually explicit and non-consensual images. n.pr/49BPyI1
Is there any point to sleep anymore? I wake up at 3am still tired of winning. So, so tired of winning.
I honestly think that the main revelation of Trump 2 has been that there is no big C Capital running things behind the scenes anymore and pulling strings. There's individual rich crazy people with their thumbs on the scale, but there's no smoke filled rooms
Early 2025: Trump admin tries to illegally shut down the CFPB, the newest member of the Federal Reserve system. Jay Powell says nothing.
Summer 2025: Trump admin tries to illegally fire Fed Governor Lisa Cook. Powell says nothing.
2026: Trump admin comes for Powell. He finally finds his voice.
Pardon me, but if we're talking about food and government overreach, I'd like to present THIS gem for consideration:

Joint statement by 4 former officials in Democratic and Republican Administrations—including four NATO Ambassadors, 3 Assistant Secretaries of State for Europe, and 3 NSC Senior Directors.
Excellent opening in particular.
NYC, 2026.
On Jan 7, Elon Musk posted a “100” emoji above a post by an author called“Jerr,” which stated, “White solidarity is the only way to survive.” In the same thread, Jerr promoted his book, Blood Prophecy in the Bone House, which (per Jerr) “explains why racism is moral...” 1/

I want that mouse toy on my desk by tomorrow morning!
It's probably fortunate that so many small neighborhood Asian, Latino, and other ethnic grocery stores are already geared toward fresh produce, meats and fish, because in many neighborhoods those are the only food stores available. But policing what they can and can't sell is overreach at its worst.
"Double" the amount of whole food? Who's gonna define exactly what whole foods are acceptable, inventory every store to determine the ratio, define what has to be added, and police the results of this "innovation? Department of Government Overreach? A.I.?
Seems a bit much.
Competition is a once useful animal trait that has become a destructive mass-pathology used to analyze (very very badly) everything from sex to sleep to pleasure to work to relationships to parenthood. Its inappropriate in 90% of cases and excessive in the rest.
Chloroform would work just as well, but it's kinda low tech for these techno-runts I guess
Good Lord.
Welker: [Translated] Well, yes, but certainly you wouldn't consider shutting down the entire government over something as insignificant as this?
“”We Love America” isn’t a journalistic principle, it’s barely a bumper sticker. True patriotism does not mean ignoring your country’s faults or dismissing its critics as haters or disloyal.” @anthonylfisher.bsky.social with a stirring rebuke of Bari Weiss and CBS News

And literally replace it with a cage match on the WH lawn.
the reason there are going to be more incidents like this is that you’ve hired a bunch of murderers and told them they’ll be protected and celebrated if they shoot people
You don't get carte blanche to kill today someone who had nothing whatsoever to do with something entirely different that happened to you six months ago, just because that previous thing happened.
There's no coherent argument for invading or buying Greenland, and when Trump tried to say one to NYTimes it came out as gibberish from a condo salesman about the pride of ownership.
It's basically the same as declaring war on Germany to "own" Ramstein Air Base. No upside, immense downside.
This is just chud welfare, they looted medicaid and foodstamps so they could shower riches on the most unemployable fascist freaks in the country
We already knew that Trump had completely reshaped the federal courts, but these stats are incredible. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/11/u...
