The Justice Dept’s theory of the case— that the group that single-handedly disassembled the Ku Klux Klan defrauded its donors by concealing that it was using paid informant to do that work and more— has about as much merit as the now-dismissed charges against Jim Comey.

Trump’s words could be considered as a threat to companies that do seek refunds for the tariffs they paid, as would be their right under the Supreme Court’s ruling. In the past, he has praised companies whose executives have cozied up to him or donated large amounts of money. trib.al/dqj7wUV

Your regular reminder that cops don't actually justify their existence or enormous budgets by solving much crime.

Approximately 11% of all serious crimes result in an arrest, and about 2% end in a conviction.

And then there's this...

A person who fantasizes, in public, about drone-striking business rivals and sending protesters to North Korea is not a person who should be near the instruments of state violence. A person who laughs on earnings calls about heads being cut off

I’m not sure this actually happened. I can’t find anything other than a Facebook post.

Wage growth is slowing. Inflation is on the rise. Consumer sentiment has hit a record low. Millions are struggling to make ends meet.

But corporate profits have skyrocketed despite massive layoffs and the stock market is up.

New "golden age" for who exactly?

The Second Coming
By William Butler Yeats

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Leave posting to experts? Experts on what? That’s not how social media works. I’m not a fan of meme posts like you mention, but calling people random is rude and disrespectful. You certainly are full of yourself.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

To be fair, Chevy Silverados and Ford F-150s weren’t as small as that Toyota. Truck sizes have gotten way out of hand though.

Hi! It’s still dark out, so you can’t see the trees and shrubs. Trees are mostly behind the houses. Home builders buy acres of land and cut down most trees so that they can fit more lots. Sometimes they build in fields where there aren’t trees at all. I agree. We could do much more landscaping.
