Last week I had the chance to apply my current agentic workflow strategy to a timeboxed team build with two amazing devs Sterling Chapman and @blackgirlbytes.bsky.social on a fun and sometimes stressful new @codetv.dev show filming.

How I Used RPI to Build an OpenClaw Alternative Learn how I built a minimal, personal AI agent using goose and the RPI method.

Everyone's buying Mac Minis to run OpenClaw.

@blackgirlbytes.bsky.social built her own version using goose as the backend instead.

She used the RPI method to stop the agent from hallucinating non-existent APIs and wrote about it: block.github.io/goose/blog/2026/02/06/rpi-openclaw-alternative

Shout out to @blackgirlbytes.bsky.social for this, I had heard other people explain the same thing in tweets/bleets but I wanted a more comprehensive explanation to send 🤘

I've been working w/ Goose lately, combining it with Ollama. I'm a huge fan of Gemini CLI, however this tool is quickly becoming a go to for me.

i think the author is being sarcastic and using microwaves and chefs as a parallel to devs and agents. i thought it was funny/interesting..but thats true..it's likely to go the direction that you predict..with the way everyone is pushing it

In the Future All Food Will Be Cooked in a Microwave, and if You Can’t Deal With That Then You Need to Get Out of the Kitchen Update 8/8/2025 – I wrote this the day before a certain post by a popular developer services company. I’ve seen some comments this is a rebuttal – it wasn’t meant to be! But…

that's fair! in my defense (if i have any)..my post was a response to this blog post www.colincornaby.me/2025/08/in-t...

I usually run 2 or 3 at a time..I cannot comprehend a situation where I need so many agents..is it actually making me faster ..

3 months ago 0 0 0 0

like why do you need 12 agents working in parallel..that part is not clicking with me at all..let us see. i could be wrong..but i think in a few years..the workflows will be more straightforward

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

i know this is the solution so that agents can work in large, brownfield codebases, but..my heart tells me there's gotta be an easier, better way. And there will be. This is not necessary. And people are just enjoying inventing workflows tbh

The skeptic part is probably not as obvious. The part im more skeptical about is people coming up with all these workflows ..to me..they're just overly complex abstractions..and we can get to the end goal more simply.

i am both an extreme supporter and skeptic of AI agents lolol.

I understand the devs who mourn the loss of their identities because agents write code pretty well now. This is your craft. You trained for this.

But no one said you have to stop writing code to use agents.

Chefs still cook. They just use microwaves and air fryers too.

We brought the Ralph Wiggum loop to goose with a multi-model approach where one model does the work and a second model reviews it.
