Great talk by @guidoimbens.bsky.social yesterday at @tinbergeninstitute.bsky.social on his latest work on causal inference with panel data. Key takeaway: DDDiD—‘Don’t Do DiD.’ Why? The outcome model is too restrictive. Opt for a more flexible approach, like their newly proposed estimator.
