Yeah. basically helicopters are uses for rescue (USAF uses HH-60 variants normally), the big aircraft you see (KC-130) is refueling the helicopters , because they don't have enough range to get to the destination on their fuel tanks alone.

i mean, western parts procured going around sanctions, russia can buy those themselves, not like only iran has experience with sanction evasion. RU been doing the same thing, getting components for their missile program.

Nah, I don’t think that UA has the resources to take over Crimea at this point in time, and might be a while before they do, and I believe that russians are on the same page. I believe they are trying to make the use of aviation in the area untenable for russians, just as with black sea fleet.

have you considered- to protect their sea drones near Crimea / Novorossiysk from RU helicopter threats, which is main weapon against sea drones ? They’ve previously tried putting sidewinder and R73 missiles on those drones before, which do have some severe limitations, while being launched fm/ drone

According to poll I saw, only 25% of Americans approve of this... though 75-80% of republicans do, hilariously up from 55% before the strikes.... If rotten mango does it, they approve lol

Yeah, and to be fair, US drone is like 1/2 the size of Shahed, and is actually cheaper. On photos released, you can see the starlink dish on the back, meaning it would have live connection, rather than INS / GPS
