I haven’t posted on Bluesky since I joined in the initial hype. I don’t even think about it much anymore - I’m curious, has this thing reached the point of having enough people to make it worthwhile?
As a Columbia alumnus, I am thrilled the university has complied with the Trump Administration’s demands to protect Jewish students. Withholding $400 million to force Columbia to act was the right thing to do.
I keep hearing how Jews like me, who support the eviction of Mahmoud Khalil, are being used. The way I see it? The J Street crowd is being used by JVP.
No matter the phony claims otherwise, Mahmoud Khalil is getting due process with a hearing before a judge.
And he should be evicted from the United States because he is incited violence against Jews “by all means necessary” that goes beyond free speech.
If universities allowed harassment of Black, Latino or Asian students, I’d advocate hard to stop the universities’ federal funding — and many of you would stand with me.
But when it comes to Jewish students, you won’t.
This double standard is Antisemitism.
Shame on you.
What does it mean when I, a lifelong Democrat, praise Donald Trump for his actions to help Israel and American Jews when I detest everything else he’s doing?
It is a commentary not on my politics but on how frightened of Antisemitism I have become. #IStandWithIsrael

When Trump takes fantastic action to help Israel and U.S. Jews that the Biden Administration should have taken, I say it.

Check up on your Jewish friends over the next few days as Hamas starts releasing dead hostages. Many of us, especially those of us who work in Jewish service organizations, personally know families of the hostages. I swear to you — this is beyond brutal.
