There was enough gray area/poor oversight I’ve never bothered with permits or anything since if I’m moving snakes it’s just off a road or out of someone’s yard into the field a quarter mile away

I’d be so tempted to get a hog, but I have plenty of snakes already…and I get them in the yard enough :)

Better news on it though: people handling for over 20 minutes any species no longer allowed, and wild hognoses can’t be collected without permit but captive bred ones will now be legal!

Mostly where rattlesnakes are concerned; CO seems to be matching that of Utah where touching them for any reason at all is now illegal ( conveniently leaving loopholes for murdering them on one’s property or claiming “self defense” still I’m sure…)
