Thanks, Jules. I haven't seen Chris W. since 2008 when he and we (@foveahex.bsky.social) were involved in Sound Threshold in Monte Bondone (www.soundthreshold.org/season1_intr...). It'd be nice to see him again. I am sure we haven't aged a day!

Sometimes I like to take my satellite tracker for a walk across the sky. I just came across Luch/Olymp, a Russian spy satellite, sent up in 2014 to 'observe' other satellites. Although still transmitting it's now broken apart and exists primarily as a debris risk in the geostationary belt.

Philip Glass statement reads “After thoughtful consideration, I have decided to withdraw my Symphony No. 15 “Lincoln” from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,” Glass wrote on social media. “Symphony No. 15 is a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, and the values of the Kennedy Center today are in direct conflict with the message of the Symphony. Therefore, I feel an obligation to withdraw this Symphony premiere from the Kennedy Center under its current leadership.”
Well played, maestro. “I feel an obligation to withdraw this Symphony premiere from the Kennedy Center under its current leadership”
