It's happening! 📢

On Tuesday, MPs will consider an amendment to enable local leaders to ban pavement parking in their area. We need you to help us get this amendment on to the Bill.

Ask your MP to agree to Amendment 265 when it's considered on Tuesday: https://bitly.livingstreets.org.uk/4tMU2Uq

Fist bump to anyone else caught between the need to bow down & accept the dire, broken reality of the attention economy to continue surviving via their creativity & a desire to disconnect which becomes more vast, and more potentially vital to their sense of inner peace, with every year that passes.

How refreshing to see someone using the correct use of “empathic” not the generally accepted made up “empathetic”.

Listening to Radio 4 Today programme is a rollercoaster.
Jeremy Bowen delivers a moving, insightful and brilliant report on the Middle East that makes you proud of the BBC.
Immediately followed by a reliably incoherent and amateurish interview from Emma Barnett.

Walking to work this morning a car drove past with Adele's 'Someone Like You' playing. It reminded me just how exquisite a piece of songwriting it is.

Last night, I got properly "doored" for the first time. A car in the road to my right paused, and the rear left passenger threw open his door without looking, right into my path. I ended up on the floor, badly winded but ok.

If you don't know what the "Dutch reach" is, NOW is the time to learn.

Thinking about how slow some people (who would love it) have been to get on Bluesky, and it occurred to me Twitter was 5 years in before it really took on household-name status. I've persuaded two people to join today. I challenge you to do the same. (No dicks.)

Where shall we meet? Last week, I listened to an episode of the Ezra Klein Show that I found incredibly compelling.

If every arts org must pass a self imposed moral purity test for sponsorship, most won't survive long enough to be patted on the back for it.
