@ludovic.chabant.com Really loving the Gameplay Camera Director plugin in UE5, are there plans to integrate the First Person Rendering techniques that were added to the standard camera in 5.6?

Recently started my tutorial series on creating a Smart Enemy AI system in #UnrealEngine inspired by the AI from Alien: Isolation. To create this system I'll be deep-diving into Unreal Engine 5's State Tree system.

Oh my god... I did. Software/games been more performant doesn't mean that your old hardware is going to keep up with cutting edge graphics, it means it utilises hardware more efficiently. More powerful hardware is still going to push the boundaries forward for what graphics can achieve.

Well... Of course? Were you thinking that 10-year old hardware is going to stay at the cutting edge every year forever? Been "more performant" doesn't mean old hardware can magically perform the same as new hardware.

Jesus, who are all these people donating like 20-100 dollars/euros in his comment section? There really needs to be some pushback against his mis-information from reputable devs in the industry.

Hey so not sure if you're aware or not, but if you click/tap the three dots beside that video you can select "Don't recommend channel" and all of his content will stop showing up in your feed altogether.

EA announces it will patent 23 accessibility technologies that will be available to developers royalty-free "to reduce or eliminate as many barriers to access as possible and empower our gamers" The industry-first Patent Pledge was originally announced in 2021, but today is growing the catalog of technology to double that of its original offering.

It's a shame that these accessibility technologies can patented at all but good on EA for patenting them in order to make them free and openly accessible to everyone. Rare EA win

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at it today, are there any quick start docs or is it fairly straight forward?

Prototyping my Horror Enemy AI Behaviour (No Commentary) | Development Update: Unreal Engine 5 YouTube video by Stephan Anemaat - VR Game Developer

A little while ago I made a very simple mini-game so I could test and prototype the Enemy AI in my #IndieHorrorGame. Was going for an Alien Isolation type of hunt-the-player dynamic

Many of the problems are being or have been improved, the main issue is that games released today are from engine versions made like 2 years ago. UE5.0 released in 2022, UE5.5 only released this month. Since it takes years to develop a game we likely won't see the improvements until down the line.

Yes you and other consumers are right to point out the problems.
