Big drama this week as I repeatedly tried & failed to cut a huge knot out of Mirri's fur. She's terrified of scissors (and human hands). Finally drugged her with Gabapentin & snipped off the knot while she was too woozy to move. Here she is enraptured by her squirrel show

Mirri has a bad knot under her arm. Now I have to catch her in exactly the right place, moment, and mood while I have access to scissors. Cross your fingers for me! Last time it took weeks

One lovely thing to come out of this move so far is that Mirri considers the bed a safe spot. She's been hanging out on it with me and even sleeping there throughout the night! A HUGE leap forward for this little girl

Mirri was brave last night! She wasn't under the bed when I woke up, but she'd used her litterbox and eaten a little food. I frantically searched the house for her and found her wedged in a dirty broom closet. Petrified.
I deliberately didn't wash everything like I normally do, just so she'd have the familiar scents. But so far, it's not much comfort
