But college sports are all net revenue positive, right? Right?

Alex, give me "crimes against humanity" for $100.
Under his eye.
think you captured the sentiment 😢
There's a big difference between saying something and actually doing it. It's all performative rhetoric to apease their supporters. I'm sure he'd whip out his script pad the second his kid was scared and crying with an ear infection or UTI.
Can you really be annihilated every day? Kind of thought that once you're annihilated, it's pretty much over.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
I think an appropriate response would have been:
LANDERS: Well, you're a rotten president
What will it take for WH correspondents to start pushing back? Nobody should have to take this.
Kind of insulting to kindergarteners
Any response from the editors?
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
100% agree. Today's Montana is obsessed with people who appear strong, but have no character to back it up. Gianforte slugged a reporter and lied about it to the police the night before his first election. But he still won by a wide margin. Montana loves bullies. All hat, no cattle. Glad I left.
Sadly, I'm afraid this will probably only bolster his street cred back home in Montana.
All I can say is "Quincy".
Seems timely given the Opinion piece in today's NYT from a doc at Harvard recommending something close:
Shocking. Absolutely shocking. Between that and the new call for TP chapters in MT public schools (in violation of most HS policies), one might almost think that he's a major Turning Point funder...
Who is "we"?? Rigor has been a major factor at every study section I was ever on or that reviewed my proposals. "We" do not have to give him a break. He's been a steady source of misinformation about federally funded biomedical research since before he took the directorship. Speak for yourself.
Thinking of anyone in particular?
I always get the feeling that those folks have some degree of guilt about using LLMs when they know they probably shouldn't and consciously or unconsciously try to normalize their decision by getting others to do the same...
Kinda like NCAR?
Hobby Lobby had limited lettering stock.
This thing deserves a response along the lines of, “Someone has hacked into your email account and is sending idiotic letters on your letterhead. Please contact your internet service provider immediately.”
There's an app for that....
Might be more nuanced than that -- Michael Schill, the NU pres until early Sept, seemed pretty committed to not caving and fighting (from outside, at least). The reasons for his resignation aren't clear (to me, at least), but looks like interim pres changed course dramatically almost overnight. Sad.
Nothing says respect for freedom of speech and religion like arresting priests for speaking out.
Or the brain worm thought it might be contagious.
I'm far less sophisticated :-)
You mean like the Bonwit Teller Friezes? Bet not...
Honestly, the only surprising thing is that *anyone* didn't believe before now. Unlike the catholic church, the GOP hasn't been hiding their idolization of Nazis/Hitler or their antisemitic and racist tendencies. It's been out in the open since at least 2017 with Charlottesville!
