I don't think it will ultimately solve everything mind you, it's just that i find it weird that they created their own federated protocol instead of using the Fediverse one... And then not capitalizing on using it fully by making others able to self-host their instances.

In seriousness, I wonder why Bluesky doesn't have multiple servers yet like Fediverse. Considering they both are using federated protocols.

You know where I go, Fediverse! Unfortunately not many people there...

I really don't like it being hard to use in general, it won't drag people in. I just hope the ecosystem can look somewhat clearer soon enough.

Just like with email, you can send posts and others on other accounts can see those and follow you.

Unfortunately the servers you register at decide what servers they blacklist so get with a server that connects with you is the hard part.

I've heard lots of artist say the same and it's a shame it's not easier to use.

The way i like to think about it is the same as email. You have an registered email at a server (gmail, outlook etc) and in Fediverse you have your account at a fediverse server.

Sometimes Fediverse/Mastodon gives me more love than Bluesky lol
