In 2015 Saskatchewan Party brought in for profit private MRIs. They told us it would improve wait times by taking the strain off the public system. The average wait time then was 55 days.

My doctor set me up last May. Asked if I had money as it was going to take awhile.

I ended up waiting 335 days

In 1932, GM, Standard Oil, Firestone, Mack Truck, Philips Petroleum & others created a consortium to take control of public transit. Charlie Wilson, former CEO of GM & Eisenhower's SecDef, spearheaded the $25 billion National Highway Act of 1956 to dismantle the US public transit systems. 1/2

Elsewhere it's now cheaper to buy an EV than a gas vehicle. What prevents that in Canada? Import restrictions (tiny quotas, tariffs). Operating an EV is 1/3 to 1/10th the cost of a gas guzzler. So why does our govt stand in the way of more rapid uptake? They're THE MOST AFFORDABLE option now.

Federal policy on biofuels goes from bad to worse under Trump The administration’s lavish biofuel subsidies for farmers are bad for consumers and the planet, but the problem goes way beyond his administration.

It’s environmentally and economically nutty to use farmland to grow ethanol when an acre of solar panels produces 20 to 100 times more energy than an acre of corn. The world is on track to deforest a land mass nearly twice the size of India for agriculture by 2050

Not subsidizing oil is obstructing? Being satisfied with crap policy isn’t the win you are framing.

The tipping point for collapse is only 25 years away.

This would make Atlantic Canada's winter much more like Nunavut winters and increase summer droughts and wild fires like western Canada - not to mention rapidly increased sea levels.

The bickering between liberals and conservatives about the quality of their leaders' education in economics is telling of their ideological consensus around neoliberal capitalism. They can't debate different visions of political-economy so they spar over doctrinal correctness.

If they want to play that card they can accept the consequences. Not that any of our politicians have the spine to do anything substantial anyways.
Companies or industry lobby groups that want to stoke that idiocy should be sanctioned with vigor.
Can we get a treason tax? 😇😂☕️
