I've been leaked a letter from the Telegraph's new owners.

It's now mandatory for the Telegraph's journalists to support Israel.

And their new owner's record is deeply disturbing 👇

The German government has decided to react to the fuel price increase with the usual tax cut / #Tankrabatt

This study shows, however, that less than 7% of the total relief provided this way goes to households in need www.springerprofessional.de/analyse-der-...

Iran, Pakistan, and at least some US officials all seem to have understood the ceasefire to apply to Israeli operations in Lebanon as well as Iran—even if this morning’s strikes were planned beforehand, going through with them seems like Israel thumbing its nose at/undermining the whole arrangement

There is no ceasefire in Lebanon. Israel has been bombing Lebanon non-stop since last night. If anything Israel is expanding its war on Lebanon.

let's be clear about what's happening: donald trump and benjamin netanyahu, whose countries have been committing genocide in gaza since 2023, unilaterally started a war with iran, and are now threatening genocide there.

What Israel is doing to Southern Lebanon is *clearly* aimed at ethnic cleansing and colonization, using the same tactics as in the Gaza genocide. Nearly 1 million people forcibly displaced. We have to reject this evil with all our might, and support those who are resisting it.

We need to be honest about Iran – and how our rampant greed for oil is causing mayhem | George Monbiot Oil has empowered capitalism, and some of the world’s most exploitative regimes. Move away from it and we can solve some of the key issues we face, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

1. One of the things I mention as a secondary issue in this week’s column is a lie so deeply embedded in official narratives that we seldom even notice it: capitalism = “free markets”. In reality, capitalism is *the opposite* of the free market.

News story tonight on driverless cars suggested that the point of the technology is to “make better cities.”

No it isn’t, and no it won’t.

The point of the technology is to sell more cars, and more cars have NEVER made better cities.

Iran is "now dead", declares Trump.

Gone are the pretences about saving the Iranian people.

My hypothesis?

Trump thought, after assassinating the Supreme Leader, grateful Iranians waving US and Israeli flags would install a pliant leader.

They didn't, so he's furious at them.

Never believe that budget cuts to social programs or education, or supporting the arts and science are about fiscal responsibility due to limited funds. They always find the money when they want to.

And this doesn't even include the cost of human lives, which is the real horror here.

This is the cloud of oil currently hovering over Tehran, released when the US bombed the city's oil depots. A stew of particulate matter, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, heavy metals & volatile organic compounds is raining down into the city right now. 1/2
