Running With Scissors has cancelled Postal: Bullet Paradise and cut ties with its external developer, a day after its announcement, over claims it featured generative AI. Good on them for acting though!

I was going through the recent trailer for Goonswarm's game "Postal: Bullet Paradise" and it seems to me that there is a very, VERY possible likelihood that this game is using GenAI for it's assets. Goonswarm's other games seem to also use GenAI (see attached images) for their art and assets. The cover presented screams AI to me, especially with the supposed "speedpaint" they posted to their Youtube account (one that for god-knows-what-reason has over 500 layers for the PSD and is drawn in a very inhuman manner). I'm worried that RWS may likely be getting scammed in some way by this company. Yeah, I'm hesitant to trust RWS after this. I have never interacted with nor emailed Running With Scissors prior to this. I didn't say anything rude, just sent an inquiry asking why Postal: Bullet Paradise seems to use GenAI and MikeJ seemingly snapped at me over it.
