It’s with deep sadness that we share that Ulysses Jenkins passed away on February 23, 2026.
A Los Angeles–born pioneer of experimental video, his work across film, performance, murals, and photography reshaped how we see race, history, ritual, gender, and power.
Why choose one Valentine when you can celebrate them all? Rockwell Kent’s "Untitled (Lovers)" reminds us that love, is worth sharing.
💐 Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at the Hammer! 💕

Breda uses muted palettes, visible brushwork, and symbolic flowers to hold space for spirituality, patience, and memory.
