This means killing people like me. If you’re wondering.

A major accommodation that autistic and ADHD people can give themselves is reducing the number of decisions we need to make.
This could look like is automating decisions, relying on random chance, or drafting standard operating procedures for ourselves, such routines or checklists

So this may come as a surprise to some folks on here, but there are people still living like this today because they can't afford to get reinfected with Covid & the pandemic is *not* over
All you women who claim your 40s are the best decade. I see you, queens! I celebrate you!
…okay seriously though where are you getting the drugs and how much are they because a decade with perimenopause CANNOT possibly be the best unless you’ve stumbled onto some next-level shit
hey y'all, I particularly need to get new filters for my mask ($16) and for my air purifier ($37) as soon as possible, especially with pollen season in full swing
can anyone help me afford them please?
thank you so much, my sinuses feel like they're dissolving
(they should be on my registry too)
If your doctor is a butt about vaccinating you more often, go to the pharmacy clinic and tell them you were working outside and had a puncture wound that didn't bleed much and healed quickly but you heard you should get a tetanus booster. (And make sure it's Tdap, not Td.)
Also, while I'm on the subject, you should be getting Tdap boosters every 5 years, not every 10 like the recommendation says, especially if you were born after 1990 or so. The pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine drops below 50% VE at 4.5 years after booster doses.
The CDC schedule also calls for a single adult booster at age 18+, so even if you have documentation of getting both childhood doses, a booster is a smart idea (and should be covered by insurance). If you can't get the MMR because it's a live vaccine and you're immunocompromised--
Because some comments make me think people missed the PSAs I do semi-regularly: if you were born before 1987, you should get a MMR booster now. The second childhood dose of MMR wasn't added until 1989, and folks who were older than 2 (the age for the 2nd) may not have gotten it.
They are explicitly and specifically targeting people with long covid because, to put it bluntly, there's fuck all else available to us. MAHA decimated long covid research funding and now the grifters are swooping in....
🧵 The nursing research, the theoretical frameworks, and Tufts's own union all predicted exactly what happened to me. Tufts had 626 unsafe staffing reports and a published report with "Dangerous and Deteriorating" in the title. They kept doing it.
🧵 This isn't a story about a bad nurse. It's a story about a staffing model that put a new grad on a float pool because Tufts Medicine is hemorrhaging money, because 67% of its patients are on Medicaid, because OBBBA just cut a trillion dollars from the program. (Oh and the CEO took a 32% raise.)
🧵 New post: "How MAHA Fucked Up My Surgery"
I was catheterized by 2 new graduate nurses (one of whom had never done the procedure on a patient before), using incorrect technique, without adequate pain control, after a delay that doubled my volume past the hospital's own intervention threshold
🧵 The MAGA Congress that voted for a trillion dollars in Medicaid cuts will never be catheterized by a new grad on a float pool. They will receive VIP care for the rest of their lives while voting to make ours worse. This piece traces the full chain from DC to the bedside.
Without starting a fight, may I just say that if you deeply and profoundly understand the need for human contact as a result of Covid, you might consider doing something to help the people still at high risk from Covid access it, instead of acting in ways that excludes and isolates them.
One more wee boost for the Monday crowd then I'll rest my repost button! :)
also it's shit pasta sauce
I remember when adults universally thought of it as normal to discourage your children from talking to strangers
AI is a stranger that can never be arrested and can get to your child in their bedroom 24 hours a day
we don’t need to terrify or shame kids but yeah we do need 9yos not to be using it

Sorry, you’re telling me that something that doesn’t feel pain, doesn’t have lactic acid build up, doesn’t need adequate hydration or electrolytes, doesn’t need to pee, and doesn’t get tired is only 6 minutes faster than humans?
you’ve fucked up a perfectly good Roomba.
I finished JACK & BOBBY last night (find it on Hulu and Tubi) and HOLY SHIT the last stretch of eps! There’s an abortion, a car crash, a funeral… Ed Bagley Jr might be the most evil character ever on the WB!
(Spoiler description concealed in the image… it’s not ACTUALLY graphic material.)
YOU CANNOT GRIND THE BONES OF YOUR ENEMIES INTO DUST TOMORROW IF YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR MEDICATIONS.

View of the living area in the tiny house on a sunny afternoon. There's a couch and coffee table, a bookshelf on the right, French front doors on the left, and a storage loft above. The ceilings and trim are all richly stained wood--decidedly cabin vibes.
View of the opposite end of the tiny house, including the dining bar, kitchen area, bathroom, and stairs to the sleeping loft. Again, very cabin-y. A full-size washer and dryer are visible in the bathroom.
View from the stairs of the sleeping loft. There's a queen size bed (pictured), and decent storage for clothes (not pictured).
Exterior view of the tiny house! It has metal skirting and steps, both included in the sale. Overall it's light gray with white trim and a dark gray roof, with lots of windows. The adorable twee cabin vibes continue.
Hey folks! I'm selling my tiny house, it's all prepped and ready for someone new to love it as much as I did.
If you're interested, please reach out, I'll leave DMs open for a while! Happy to answer any questions, and I've got a more detailed sales flyer I can share upon request.
Listen my health problems are mine and no one else’s, but my husband and writing partner got a Parmesan-stuffed crust pepperoni pizza for dinner and I am eating plain baked tofu and lightly salted rice cakes and I have to act normal about this.
pro(duce) tip: swab your finger through the artificial rain gathered on the nearest cucumber bin or whatever and then rub your fingers together before rubbing the opening end of the bag between those two fingers, it'll almost certainly open then
My 2 most old man coded things are that you should stop for stop signs, and that you should take headphones off (earbuds out) when talking with someone.
