The White House put out a statement about the dismantling of the CFPB. It was what you would expect.
But I have to point out that one enforcement action that they mention, targeting a Chicago-area mortgage lender for discriminatory language, was filed in 2020. Remember who was president in 2020?

For the past few years, investors have been hyper-focused on Fed Chair Jerome Powell as he clamped down on the economy to fight inflation and then began to ease off. Next year, market intrigue will be focused elsewhere: on Donald Trump.

It's always a pleasure to talk to Rob. This was a really fun conversation.
There's been a lot of chatter about the future of FDIC, CFPB under Trump. I turn to @reporterev.bsky.social to help me break it down. Can Trump eliminate the FDIC? What CFPB policies will survive?

Here's a story about the CFPB's clever marketing strategy for it's data broker rule (national security! preventing debanking!) and whether it just might work for the Trump administration.
I wouldn't count on it, but I also wouldn't totally count it out. news.bloomberglaw.com/banking-law/...
I am happy to be on Bluesky for the simple reason that I can actually see posts by people I follow. That shouldn’t be remarkable at all, but it is when compared with X!
President-elect Trump announces Michael Faulkender for deputy Treasury secretary and Paul Atkins for SEC chair. (Both have previously gone through the Senate confirmation process)
Spoiler alert:
I did not get the part.
The US economy’s post-pandemic performance stands out as the best among major economies – growth since the pandemic is greater than its pre-pandemic trend. China’s economy was the first to recover from the pandemic shutdowns but has been sluggish since. The European economy has lagged even more.

The Schwan’s truck was part of the scenery in the neighborhood where I lived in Erie, PA. (We also had a tin box on the porch where a milkman would leave a frozen gallon). Through a lens of nostalgia, this seems sad. But it’s surprising the company lasted this long www.nytimes.com/2024/11/22/b...

I thought the new release was not going to be in Atmos. I even thought you told me that on the other platform BUT I can never find anything over there. Anyway, is it in Atmos? If so, that's fantastic. Can't wait to listen to City of Blinding Lights that way.
"Luckiest Man in the World" (aka "Mercy") will be sent to radio as the fourth song from the album sent for promotion. A lyric video will also debut tomorrow, Nov. 22. For more info on the promotional singles to date: www.u2songs.com/discography/...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tells reporters she'd like to work with President-elect Trump on a credit card rate cap of 10%, which he bandied on the trail.
"I can't imagine that President Trump didn't mean every single thing he said during the campaign," Warren quips.
Why won't they release the Dolby Atmos mixes?!?!?
