Seriously. His faux positivity and relentless need to self learn and do better mirrors exactly what I've seen using chatbots. His decoupling of emotions in pursuit of the perfect action is what makes it so dark. Great film.
Just rewatched #Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal from 2014. I remember it being great but watching it again in 2026, it struck me how eerily similar Jake's performance is to my experience has been with chatbots.

I already have both Dino Crisis 1 and 2 (as well the Resident Evils) thru GOG so I didn't look too closely initially. Seems it doesn't play nicely on a Steam Deck either...

I'm mistaken. There's several versions of Block Party that you can easily underestimate. Definitely more difficult with other players (especially ones who are willing to grab). #FallGuys
I haven't seen too many movies based on video games (Silent Hill (2006), Alone in the Dark, Mortal Kombat (1995), Tomb Raider, Warcraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, too many Resident Evils, Max Payne).
I guess I'd argue Warcraft is the best of that bunch?

I don't know if I'm ready for another Daniel Mullins game. I've been thru Pony Island and Inscryption and see they're quite the meta trip but...
Inscryption actually crossed a line I didn't think was possible in a largely commercialized game so I'm afraid to see how he will escalate beyond that.

Related, we're going thru a transition of acceptance right now with VTubers and Streamers but I honestly see them no different than professional comedians or sports athletes. The good ones put in A LOT of effort and it's not just "telling a joke" or "playing a game".
But I understand the disdain. Is it really impressive that you can complete a game quickly after trying it for several hours? Wouldn't that time be better spent resting, exercising, learning a new transferable skill, doing a chore or helping others?

Yep. This has been true in most of my social circles.
I've always downplayed my enthusiasm for video games. I've communicated it just as a hobby or a leisure activity no different than watching movies, tv or reading books.

Modern remakes of older survival horror games tend to be more drawn out and have me question if that's better but I think that works in Silent Hill 2's favour: It wants you to wallow in the misery.
The original does some things better and honestly, I don't think I want to spend another 19 hours going through it again. Even though I played the original, this one scared me. I didn't really get that with the original. The original is more disturbing than scary. This is both.
Wow! Well done Bloober Team! Thru the #SilentHill2 remake and I think it might just be the best Silent Hill I've played. Of course, major credit to the original and Team Silent but gameplay-wise, I do think Bloober Team improved on it.
No. The dexterity required for the hardest bosses in #HollowKnight only show up at the end when you have plenty of health, upgrades, charms and even an ability to eliminate runbacks. In a way, it makes me disappointed moreso with #Silksong's design. It just feels so cruel.
