They are a bit Jim Carrey in The Mask though.

Oh it was quite funny! Just someone being judgemental and probably a dig at FT working mothers. Anyway, son seems to have made it to adulthood unscathed despite not having a theatrical costume maker for a parent.

The features you describe sound pretty cool, ngl. I don't think ours can do those things though.

Ours has WiFi but I have no idea what it's for other than to be able to operate it remotely or something. I think it was on offer - I certainly wouldn't have chosen it.

World Book Day humiliation/brag thread:
I was dressed up as Edmund Pevensie in A) my school uniform from my former very grand prep school B) a mangy but enormous fox fur and C) a goblet with brown goop in plus a box of Turkish delight, aged 8 at a SE London state primary, and only teachers got it.

That is adorable.
I once read about myself (or rather the costume I sent my son to school in) on Mumsnet, and not in a good way.

I do subscribe to The Times, but it's been testing my patience recently.

McMahon has a long history with the WWE and Trump, who used to make occasional appearances at wrestling matches. She co-founded the wrestling league with her husband in 1980, resigning as CEO in 2009 in order to undertake a failed bid to run for the Senate.

This is just so completely incorrect from the BBC. Linda McMahon did not form WWE with Vince and it certainly didn’t happen in 1980. Vincent J. McMahon (Vince’s dad) formed Capitol Wrestling in the 1950s, Vince and Linda formed Titan Sports in 1982, and bought the WWF from Vince Snr. It’s not hard.

Having read the article I think the research is being misrepresented, at least by the headline.

He had a show on R4, "Veg Talk", which a million years ago wasn't too bad.

YES. I'm sure we're not alone in thinking this. They guy's an idiot, as well as being really fucking annoying. Also I don't think he's a chef, is he? A second real chef would be a good thing imo.

Mixed up some mincemeat with hazelnut rum instead of brandy. Contemplating doing another batch in the week with Amaretto and maybe some dried cherries.

I used to love working on NYE though. Always made good money and set menus with sensibly timed sittings so it never got too hectic.

The one time in my entire life where I've made a list * and adhered to it * was this one that I did before our wedding, to make sure I didn't forget to bring my bridal gown and plenty of knickers.
