Greyhound left on time at 1255am. We got to the new bus station near the airport. It's an LED lit box with vending machines and toilets about the size of my mom's boyfriend's 1970s trailer. 😑 And the door squeaks.

Well Amtrak is 3.5 hours late. Here I sit at Greyhound waiting for the 1am bus. I tracked it from DC to PGH and it stayed on time. Hoping we don't have a driver change. Sometimes they don't show up.

My hotel is a 20 min mildly dangerous walk from Amtrak. The bus station is by the airport now. 😡 It looks like the red line might start running at 4am to get me into downtown, adding another 45 minutes to my travels. 😑

Great. I am supposed to get the Floridian from PGH to CLE tonight but the already 1 hour late train is broke down in DC. Yesterday's train was 7 hours late. I bought a Greyhound ticket as a backup. Only bus to CLE leaves at 8am or 1am. 😢

For These Old Bus Stations, It’s Not the End of the Line The streamlined depots built by Greyhound in the middle of the 20th century reflected a more optimistic era for bus travel. A lucky few are finding new uses.

I often take the underfunded & underperforming Ghound bus. This station is right downtown Cleveland & DOESN'T NEED A NEW USE. IT'S THE FUCKIN BUS STATION. Investing in intercity public transportation is what we need. I don't care how this shit gets dressed up, it is just punishing the poor like me.

Dammit. This is my river and bridge in my neighborhood. I am leaving Belize right now for this. 😭 My bike commute is gonna suck.

I already don't drive. Never have. I bike almost everywhere & take transit if I need to. But I have to fly many places because Greyhound is very unreliable and Amtrak takes entirely too long. Get it together inter-city ground transportation.

It's a chrimbus eve miracle. My Spring Hill bus was running late but I still managed to catch the rare Emsworth flyer to get to my sister's house for my family gathering tonight. Saved myself $35 in Uber fees. Thanks Pittsburgh Regional Transit. Not on bsky. 🙄
