I love seeing this wonderful shop carrying our books.

Ryanne Glenn's young readers high fantasy trilogy is a gem, too.

And Ex Partum ... isn't even out yet, so here's your secret code to an early copy........

And, you know, I don't even mean us. Yeah, we *really* need support, but I'll haunt this industry from the grave.

I'm talking about presses run by people who aren't entirely *nuts*.

Everything will get real same, and the underground can only reach so far. It will be felt.

I don't even know what else I can say about needing to see and support indie presses after all these years.

You'll miss them when they're gone, I promise.

Dream the Deep / Dream the Light by Clara Ward Two new queer, neurodivergent sci-fi books in audio plus digital/print, written by Clara Ward (Be the Sea) and narrated by Sam Stark.

A little more movement now, and almost to $3000! We could do a lot with more support (plus that first stretch goal is almost in sight). If you love indie, queer, trans, ace, sea creature, storytelling always with a bit of good chocolate, please let people know!

On day 5 of being Extremely Sick (and now in my advancing age, with complications!) I know you've all been there, just also declaring today official be nice to Emily day.

thanks

Someone needs to start a podcast, stream, whatever dedicating to having fun with small press editors and authors. We can't do it, we're wrecked. Make it good. Monetize it. And contribute to saving and repairing this industry.

Preferably NOT a cmw but all the cwm actively support it like true bros.

Cover art for Dream the Deep, a novella from @atthisarts.com set 100 years after Clara Ward's queer, marine sci-fi novel Be the Sea.

The audiobooks for Dream the Deep *and* the following book Dream the Light are funding now on Kickstarter!

I'm so grumpy. It happens, but I've either been shivering under a hoodie or pile of blankets or with them tossed at my side for a solid few days now.

Is it virus? Is it blood sugar? Is it supernova uterus? Is it back issues? Is it stress?

ok I bet it's amazing, but unless there is a SECRET about you, I'm talking squirrel-written stories

I always tell them, "Hi. I see you and I understand, as best I can. I'd go out there and give you a backrub but you may have diseases that are fatal to me so this is our lot."

This never stops them from returning. And I *do* enjoy the company.

I want to hear squirrel stories, like really bad. I bet they are *super* interesting.

I can tell when they stare at me while I'm writing with a nut jammed in their mouth and an expression like "Do you know the day I've had?"

Oh, and of note, we're currently finalists for the Nebula and Locus Awards. Us!

So our neuroqueer and global community has definitely spoken about our work. Now it's up to whether people listen to them.

I'll keep singing, as best I can.

Even tiredly.

Are you monetizing people who are creating content that is safe, expected, decontextualized, and mostly repeated - often from women?

Why?

1 day ago 0 0 0 0

The genre community seems worried about forced sameness, shadowbanning, control. I think they need to create some intentional space and support for media / bloggers / podcasts who will talk about the presses doing what's different. Even when their authors tend to be, by necessity, quieter.

I would say that Sauúti Terrors released. I am grateful and glad to see the @sauutiverse.bsky.social still going, because it's, I think, the best thing going in taking a visionary approach to literature, and it's mostly ignored also for Reasons.

Less than two weeks to help us create nonbinary, trans, ace art in multiple formats.

We could really do a lot with some boosts to this. Things have been very tight! Thank you for your love and intentional visibility to joyful, neuroqueer art. 💜 🐙 #BookSky #Kickstarter
