This side is inexperienced, and with that comes inconsistency. So I’m loathe to slate them completely because we should expect results like the last two games. It’s just hard not to get frustrated at things like leaving a guy unmarked in the six yard box.

Some more thoughts (aside from set pieces) after yesterday’s Bromley bludgeoning:

- on the ball we look ok - some slick passing, but as with other L2 sides, ambitious flicks and through balls don’t come off
- we desperately need an outlet up top - struggled to remember clear cut chances

This was immensely fun to record. And given today’s cricket score (the start of an England innings circa 2018) I’d recommend sitting back with a Baileys and feel all warm inside. We go to football for so much more than what happens on the pitch.
