So here’s the problem: if you compensate someone for 72 hrs/wk, then absolutely expect 72 hrs/wk.
The problem is there’s a growing expectation by employers to just work more and not get an increase in pay.
And worse - it’s rural wages for work in Silicon Valley.

Which totally defeats the point of me reading the BBC news: I am looking for international news which doesn’t get much, if any, air time in the US.
I don’t need the BBC’s echo chamber version of the US’s mass media outlets.
Having just traveled to London, I made an interesting observation: the BBC news app shows/headlines for more British news when I’m in England, while flooding me with predominantly US news when I’m home.
