So, we haven't posted for about a month... but for good reason! We've been working very hard trying to get things together, and we should have a few REAL updates very soon.

We thought it was important that we show a proof of concept so everyone can be on the same page about what Monster Magnet is going to be.
Monster Magnet is a monster boy dating sim following 22 year-old Michelle who moves to a new city and meets 5 love interests who all turn out to be monsters.
Over the last 2 weeks we've dealt with sickness, injuries, a missing car, home renovations, and living in the US post Nov 2024.
We managed to go back over some of our main game routes! It doesn't help the demo directly, but it keeps the project on our mind.
We expect to make more progress soon!
When we first started posting, we thought we were much closer to the release of our demo than we were. We overestimated ourselves, but we're in the process now of reexamining our lives and putting ourselves back together to give Monster Magnet the time, energy, and care it deserves.
We've decided to pull back on posting for now, since it only takes time away from other things. We'll get into it more on our next post, but just know that we'll only be posting every 2 weeks.
You should know that this is only about posting, though. We'd rather die than give up on this project.
Why are the holidays so stressful? Why can't it just be the time of year where I confess my feelings for the 1 or 2 beautiful men that I've spent the last few months with?! Life is so unfair...

Despite saving Michelle from having Endometriosis just to make us feel better, we are now cursing Cale to have to lotion his hands during the cold months or they'll crack. Just another reason for him to hate winter.
Quick reminder to go on a date with you significant other, because if you don't actively try to, you might just... not.
For months. Or years.
No one tells you this, but it's actually really hard to work on a dating sim when you're ignoring the romantic aspect of your partnership.
Oops.
Olive is very friendly, even with strangers. His tastes are also a little off, so he may eat some of the otherwise unappreciated sides. Plus, you have first dibs on his slice of pie. Cale is nervous, but very polite, and is good at avoiding problems. However, his big appetite and vegetarian diet might leave your family confused as to how to accomodate for him. Vincent is well-mannered, and as a professional chef, he'll be able to help in the kitchen. The problem comes when one of your cherished family recipes needs some tweaks... Aster is surprisingly respectful around the older adults, at the cost of not personally connecting with anyone. He also dislikes most Thanksgiving dishes and will barely eat half a plate. Tristan is a ghost. If your family can see him, they have questions. If they can't, he's probably distracting you. Also, half the rolls just disappeared, and the sweet potatoes have no more marshmallows.
Over the last week, we've been discussing how each Monster Magnet love interest would be as a Thanksgiving guest. After some consideration, here is our official ranking.

When ghosts first manifest, they usually do so in a state of mental fog, where they tend to not be very aware of their surroundings, their actions, or the passage of time. Ghosts sometimes reenter this state if they have been left "undisturbed," or if they are faced with something reminiscent of their trauma.

NASA has confirmed that the Earth now has an additional moon. We worried what that meant for werewolves and concluded that it only makes sense that Lycanthropy needs to be adjusted to accommodate.
All werewolves are now 0.00001% more werewolf. We hope that you are all satisfied with this solution.
After being forced to leave an event early yesterday, I'm considering giving Michelle endometriosis. Sharing the pain with one of my characters could be cathartic.
Fortunately for her, it doesn't add anything to the narrative, so she's safe... for now.
