Angelo Stiller has a €40m release clause.
It will hardly be a revelation but Savinho on the left wing gives real Sané vibes. Him and Bobb on opposite wings will generate everything including control and fear - one of the two has been lacking all season and probably since the treble season.
With Walker going, and the money spent in the other 3 players, it’s easy to see City signing Aina for a bargain price given his versatility and signing someone like Luiz on loan.
Or they don’t sign a midfielder…
Good pod. Who’s the one that were not going to register for the CL if we sign the 3 and if we sign a midfielder.
@ahsannaeem.bsky.social pod?
Who is it? Are they reliable?
No?
Khusanov ❌
Agent led report.
What’s the point? By March he’d be coming in for probably 8-9 PL games, that’s 14-16 games later with the current setup, we cannot go that long.
Doesn’t make too much sense when he’s not ready until March
Yes
The ever reliable Mattyb. 👇👇👇
It’s scary that they may not actually be playing for the manager anymore, far too many passengers in that team right now. The scary thing is the overhaul needed is realistically probably closer to 7-9 bodies needed, but shifting 7-9 of these players will be the issue.
I could get behind it if it was him plus 2-3 others in midfield.
Pogba, talk to me. 👇👇
Agree and it’s really frustrating to listen to.
Pep’s defiance in the press conference about the squad quality is unnerving. Not expecting him to say get rid of X,Y,Z. But saying all would be okay if he had Gundo and Kovacic in midfield is scary, in fact.
Interesting, 4-6 signings targeted over two windows according to the Telegraph.
It’ll be a European away day tactical master stroke if City pull a victory off tonight, but given their vulnerability lately, it also equally feels that there’s a mistake in City that could kill the game almost instantly.
Bruno G could transform City’s season if he comes back. He could solve 60% of the issues the side currently are facing. Him along with a younger midfielder would be a 10/10 start to revamping the midfield.
How have they?
Sam Lee said on his podcast that Bruno is really keen on leaving Newcastle and that he’s the midfielder City are most likely to go for in January. He’s a £66m valuation which Newcastle will be open to selling - as seemingly they need to for financial reasons under the new board.
If you know, you know. #Alan
According to Talksport, Ashworth felt sidelined from the big decisions, almost from day one with Berrada and Brailsford calling the shots. Tipping point was Amorim appointment. He favoured a British coach ie. Southgate. Also there there was a clash of personalities.
He was escorted through a side door seemingly last night. Bit more than a disagreement it seems.
If it’s true, and Ashworth was escorted out of the back door of Old Trafford (literally) last night, something deeper than a disagreement over policies is at play here.
The left side is getting flanked so regularly. Lewis for Simpson Pusey and shift Gvardiol to the left. Kev looks like he could make anything happen in space.
Bruno Guimaraes makes sense in almost every aspect, but it’s difficult to see Newcastle selling him in January. Only way that deal probably happens is if the player kicks off and that’s very unlikely.
