Sadly, it appears that Rabbi Salkin wants us to change our liturgy. We believe God made "a new and eternal covenant" with a new chosen people. Similarly, the New Testament is not merely a second testament but the new and final testament from God.

For our upcoming trip to Europe, we've just gotten tickets to Dvorak's Rusalka at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and Verdi's La Traviata at St. Paul's Within the Walls in Rome.

I have several pre-AI graduate degrees and recently returned to school (through my diocese and online at Notre Dame). I see that it's nearly impossible not to use some form of AI when researching and writing papers unless one avoids the internet altogether.

Brother Leo - Wikipedia

With all the attention focused on Leo XIII, few have noted that the name of St. Francis' best friend, trusted companion, and mosr ardent follower was Leo. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brother...

Amid DOGE-induced turmoil, National Science Foundation in crisis The $9 billion agency, which exists solely to fund researchers, projects and facilities outside its Alexandria, Virginia, headquarters, is hitting reverse on its mission.

“The US science machine that is the envy of the world is about to be wrecked,” Michael Turner, a cosmologist at UCLA, said. “If we go down the route of dismantling the great American science machine we will suffer the consequences in all aspects of life.”

Pope Francis was kind because Christ was kind. He was humble because Christ was humble. He was inclusive because Christ was inclusive. He put mercy before judgment because Christ put mercy before judgment. He taught that God is love because Christ taught that God is love.

Pope Francis had the moral courage to stand up for the Earth and its people We need the moral courage that Francis exemplified — a willingness to speak truth to power and to call for radical transformation when it is needed.

Pope Francis reminded us that love of our neighboor, especially the hungry, the poor, the sick, the prisoner, and the stranger is fullest and truest expression of the divine. Mark 1 2:30-31, John 13:34-35, Matthew 25:40-45.
