How good is it to live in an Australia where a foreign nation is deliberately starving an entire country of people and a South African born white woman is paid from Australian's taxes to defend the foreign-nation-that-starves-people and is also directed by our govt to tell us to shut up about it?

For shills and losers Donald Trump creates opportunities. Not in the conventional sense of genuine policymaking but through sheer chaos and destruction. His shameless, ricocheting presidency is likely the best opportunity ...

‘Anyone who cares about Australia’s security knows that AUKUS is a farce. It is a deal done to pay for someone else’s submarines. For Scott Morrison, it represented a chance to line up lobbying work after politics.’

Tear it up @AlboMP.

Scott Morrison receives Australia's highest honour for COVID leadership The 30th prime minister has been appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia for his "eminent service" to the country and direction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06...
This is bullshit. He was a terrible leader during COVID. Remember when he couldn’t order enough vaccines on time from Pfizer. We had so many Vic lockdowns because we didn’t get enough vaccines on time.

Morrison also should be remembered due to horrible Robo debt.

look I've got my issues with Harvard (& not just as a Yalie)... but using their institutional power & wealth to fight back is unequivocally good. they should do more.

Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban? The Utah Legislature's own newly-released study found that gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Now, will lawmakers lift the treatment ban?

Republicans in Utah commissioned an investigation into gender-affirming care for trans youth after banning it in 2023.

They're now rejecting the findings of that investigation which showed access to care reduced suicides and improved "positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes."

Opinion | We’re international students at Harvard. We’re afraid to write this. But we have to speak up. Three student leaders on Trump’s attempts to throw them out of the country.

"We should make no mistake about President Donald Trump’s strategy: He is trying to install himself as provost of our university. He seemingly wants to dictate who can be admitted, what classes can be taught and which professors should be fired."

The way Grace has started calling him "Anthony" (the way she used to use "Scott") 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

As she points out, Anthony was *eager* to capitalise on her 2022 Morrison side-eye, asking for a photo with her and refusing to criticise her. How times change 🙃

What would Grace Tame do? - The Shot Grace Tame wore our Fuck Murdoch T-shirt to meet the Prime Minister. Let's just acknowledge how much that rocks.

Grace Tame: "I find Murdoch’s assault on our democracy far more offensive and disrespectful than swear words on a T-shirt."

"Amen."

I noticed in the transcript the ABC host asked the PM three times about the t-shirt to get a response out of him.

News Corp has barely (if at all from what I've seen) done a story on it, so it seems much of the outrage about it is being driven elsewhere. Kind of strange.

The £45bn cost of Labour bailing out RBS is held to be a once-in-a-generation economic calamity that the nation barely survived.

Brexit cost us just as much every five-and-a-half months.

‘Dutton's nuclear energy plan - his only fully detailed, major policy released so far - raises more questions than it answers. States have refused to allow reactors & the CSIRO finds nuclear more expensive than wind or solar,’ writes Mike Foley in HuN #nuclear #auspol #AusVotes25

You are suggesting things that have been disproven. Most recently by CSIRO in their report into costs.

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

Not proving a source for everything does not mean it’s untrue as you suggest.

ATSE did a number of reports as has CSIRO into this area over the years… The difference is the cost of renewable energy has come down massively. Nuclear hasn’t (still very expensive).
