Dubbelmoralen är inget problem för Tidöministrarna.
Kraven de ställer på andra gäller inte dem själva.
Men det här duger inte för en utbildningsminister. Mohamsson kan inte sitta kvar på sin nuvarande post i regeringen.

Also the entire topic is bathed in "digital sovereignty" language, and if you're too foolish to notice the rank smell in that, the far-right is not and they're already piggybacking on it
(I forget where I saw some news about AfD pulling shenanigans, but they are pulling shenanigans)
I didn't see that first-hand unlike the other things (because I blocked her a good while back when I started noticing her putting people on blast)
I think many people mistake "you cannot know whether this is legit or not" for "this is a scam". Those are different sentences!
And yeah, sure, sowing uncertainty is a disruption technique, but that doesn't mean reality is ever clear-cut. Surely we can sit with that and still get stuff done?
I wish it was simple. I wish that "we've been talking for years" was actually a guarantee you're not being played. I wish it worked like handing out some cash to my local unhoused folks and maybe it goes to cigarettes instead of food.
But it doesn't work like that and I hate it too
I don't like to even mention the topic because it's highly charged (understandably, what with the whole genocide thing) and the result is that reminding people of online safety basics and dark facts about the world is assumed to stand in for specific geopolitical opinions. Which. No?
Also in disk horse: I truly wish it was as simple as "mean liberals chased the angelic lady helping palestinians off this website" but mate she was recommending that people structure payments on main and did not know basic facts about online scam techniques. That's... a problem, actually
So much trans theory these days gets built off personal experiences, getting annoyed at social media takes, taking incomplete and outdated statistics out of context... We're bound to fuck it up and need to course-correct.
Anyway that particular clown should also get the fuck off Substack
As someone who's typically obnoxiously authoritative in my tone I am very amused when someone's who's obnoxiously authoritative in their tone but wrong argues against their own past stance without even realizing it. Least you can do is notice the contradiction and apologize but that never happens
(Most likely Person 2 did not click on the link and only reacted to the reaction but still, weird feelings)
I er don't quite know what to feel when I link a thing I wrote, someone answers that it made them think about a thing, and someone else recommends a book on the topic...
Which has an essay which I quote in the thing I wrote.
Which is probably what prompted the thought to begin with
(And considering how many pissed-off transmasculine anarfeminists we have on said beat I would guess this comparison is just people used to thankless retraumatizing work picking up more thankless retraumatizing work)
And those of us still on the beat today are BAD at accounting for that because we are constantly being re-traumatized and denied space by our own "comrades" - in a way that I start to suspect is real fucking similar to rape survivors attempting to fight for feminism in militant spaces
Most people likely had some version of a moral compound fracture happen to them. I just happened to have a perfect mix of class privilege, pre-existing politics, tremendous stubbornness, linguistic and intellectual access that made it possible for me to *notice* and analyze that fracture
*I* am not a reliable narrator of my own trauma! Ask me a few months ago and I'd have told you it was the YOLO attitude that got me with Sweden. Doing the work, going through my archives, it was instead revealed as a highly specific compound moral fracture between my values and what happened
People are not reliable narrators of themselves, let alone of their own trauma. It's something I keep discovering doing anti-covid work: they'll tell you they were mostly upset by the authoritarian shit, but turns out they went back to work to find an advisor dead, that kind of stuff
Anyway Sweden's a control of sort for your hypothesis and the valrörelse over there makes it clear that the thrust is racism and specifically hatred of immigrants. The (far-)right has just been very very good at building momentum and resentment over the years while progressives fumbled
I know, I know, it's all inconvenient factoids you keep forgetting, but there are in fact countries on the planet that are not the US (gasp) and they also have fascists (re-gasp) whose rise predate 2020 (shocked horror, someone get the fainting couch)
I know better than to pick a fight with big-name Posters on this site but if you analyze the ties between the pandemic (ONGOING, BY THE WAY) and fascism without de-centering both the USA and the relatively privileged class that was able to stay home your analysis is going to be terrible
Machinae Supremacy did eventually get around to releasing a new album and it's the usual very-corny-but-kinda-wholesome goodness machinaesupremacy.bandcamp.com/album/machin...
Yes, Israel is destroying Lebanon's breadbasket. This is why I have been saying that Israel's goal is to destroy Lebanon itself.
Palantir are about six months away from ordering their employees to leave audio logs scattered around their offices
They demand different tactics to fight against. I've done my time in hate research, specifically on Sweden, and the difference is vital to understand over there. Maybe it's different in the US but in Europe we have lost a LOT of ground to the confusion and the resulting waste of time and effort
how am I only just learning this stunningly apt word
Yeah. I expect the details to be BAD, because in previous guidance "trans-inclusive spaces" has meant "segregation to disabled toilets which woops can't exist everywhere sucks to be you", but this is very very light
That is not what I said, it's a separate point. In the case of doctors, the Poor Little Girls argument is deployed mostly in service of destroying access to care, on a system level, rather than individual. It's manipulation of public opinion more than manipulation of individual trans people, I'd say
Luckily the clinical trials are near-always ran in poor countries for financial reasons! *sob*
The technology wasn't *novel* per se, the research had been happening for a good long while and it did go through the entire clinical trial pipe (just accelerated, money does that). But all of that was poorly explained for sure
