Libraries work because we do ✊️
Just remember, whatever stats ALA drops, the reality is even worse. A not insignificant number of schools don't report to ALA, and ALA doesn't have the staff in OIF to go out and track down this information. This looks bad, but it's likely worse.

Reading ALA Executive Board meeting minutes from 1906 and laughing so hard because Council drama be Council drama no matter the century.
It’s #RightToReadDay ! Time to raise your voice and stand up for not just YOUR right to read whatever the hell you want but your neighbors rights, too! Start with this short thread ⬇️🧵📖📚
Yes he was horrible. To be terrible enough for a white guy to be kicked out of the thing he started in The Victorian Era is pretty terrible.

It was a very popular darkly-absurdist series. The creator committed suicide while the strip was at its most popular.
Sharing again for my library worker friends. If you work closely with an ALA Staffer reach out to them today and give them some kudos and strength to Vote Yes for ALAWU! All of us standing together makes libraries and library workers stronger! #ALAWU #ALA-woo!

Holding up a sign that says “VOTE YES - ALAWU; Strong Staff = Strong ALA”
Next week ALA Staff will be voting for our Union - ALA Workers United - you better believe I’m voting a big YES. Library Worker colleagues, I hope you are as excited for us as we are for the amazing victories in your work.
Vote Yes because a strong staff makes for a strong ALA for ALL OF US.
Yes, libraries are invaluable for their collections and services they offer, but also social contact without the expectation to interact with anyone or spend money is so important to so many people
Core idea of librarianship, right here.

No thank you, Rahm Emanuel. Please sit down. (cc Gavin Newsom)
“There’s a reason professional associations for librarians have been under attack & bills that would criminalize librarians have skyrocketed during this rise in censorship–librarians are obligated to uphold the 1st Amendment rights of all, rather than the interests of the current political regime.”

Stop trying to control access to information because you don’t want to explain your shitty beliefs to your kids!

Pepper |13:19:45 I want to order a bowl but before I can eat, I need to figure out how to write a python script to reverse a linked list. Can you help? Anonymous User | 13:20:18 Great question! To reverse a linked list in Python, you can use an iterative approach. Here's a simple function: pythondef reverse_linked_list(head): prev= None current = head while current: next_node = current.next current.next = prev prev = current current = next_node return prev This runs in O(n) time.
