Very proud to be playing this very cool charity event soon! We are on first playing a mix of originals and covers! Local cover legends New Normal are on after us and a band I played in for years, Clean Slate will close up! It’s a fantastic afternoon of music!

This morning, I posted two important stories based on insider information from the FBI and SCOTUS, published in @theatlantic.com and @nytimes.com respectively.

This doesn’t happen by accident.

The source(s) have to know they’ll be protected, even if the reporters are threatened with jail.

The Wetland Project, which I just posted about, is something very near and dear to my heart. I’d deeply appreciate you reskeeting that post. Thank you.

A single ribeye is $25 or more right now. Eggs are still very expensive. Ground beef is over $5.00 a pound. And things are unpredictable. Gas went from under $3.00 a gallon to over $4.00 in days, at the President’s whim. People are freaked out.

Wage growth may have gone up, but it hasn’t outpaced expenses like housing, health care, child care, cars, meat, and energy.

Prices are very high, and wages have been stagnant or too low for far too long.

What’s offer left out of these conversations is the fact that the economy is sharply divided and described as a K Shaped economy. Right now, a small portion of wealthier Americans are carrying the consumption spending, while the majority struggle day to day for basics. The anxiety is real.

He grew up in a place where the night sky felt endless.
On a small farm in Ontario, far from launchpads and mission control rooms, Jeremy Hansen spent his early years looking up at something he could not yet reach.

Thank you, Canada, for the service of Colonel Jeremy Hansen. NASA couldn't have carried out this mission without his expertise and professionalism. He's yet another example of how our northern neighbors and friends honor us with their excellence and grace.

America is the odd place where a family of 4 can make 500k a year and feel broke.
I’m not saying they are poor, but that they are strained financially. Hence. Trump lower price. We knew he wouldn’t because we pay attention, the suburban voter? No idea, just trying to keep a float.

We are in a K shaped economy right now. So some sectors, like health care, are still spending a lot of money, still making a lot of money, but also reporting that they fill that money is tighter. Two different things can be true at once. High income earners are carrying trumps economy right now.

Brilliant tactics.

1. Start negotiations. Straight open.

2. Bomb them in the middle of negotiations, knowing they will close the straight. They do.

3. We are now forced into a worse position then we were before and need to free $6bill in assets the Iranians previously didn’t have. Strait closed.

Steinbeck should be required reading before you can take the oath of office at ANY level of govt.

Great piece that ends with a quote that panders to me, specifically

Steinbeck is due for a rediscovery by popular culture

But it wouldn’t have stopped the Israeli military. They have stockpiles. I’m sure Netanyahu would have found more. He doesn’t care if he has our permission anymore. And trump was going to be infinitely worse, which has proven to be true. Dumb. Talk about barking up the wrong tree.

I can see being disappointed that the democrats tended to shift right to counter trump. But the idea the Harris/Biden, are responsible for the admitted horrors in Gaza is crazy. Just look at what is happening in Lebanon now. Could Biden have stopped selling them arms? Certainly.

If the violence of one Haitian is enough to deport them all, then by trump’s own logic what should be the punishment for him, his administration and his followers for the violence he has inflicted upon the world? Many things they’ve done are clearly war crimes and impacted so many economically.

I read this entire thread. If you aren’t doing book reviews for a living by this time next week, it’ll be a crime. I found both informative and funny, and absolute fire. Could one of the mags pleeeeeasssseee pick you up.

I want to point out, that these trucks in size dimensions are getting closer to Class 6-7 vehicles that require DOT Medical cards to drive and or a cdl depending on GVW.

There are pickup trucks that are as big as single axle dump trucks.

It has gotten a little bit out of hand.
