Wow. They really think that blowing everything to shit, alone, is enough to prevail.
I am expecting a different outcome; a different reality entirely....

This is yet another commonality between The Mobster of America and the Mobster of Russia--both thought they would be done with their little excursions and special operations in a few days.

These guys must be forced to go away, or we will have no country left at all. Heck, we won't have a world.

There are sound reasons no other President pursued an open war with Iran, instead dealing with the country with more circumspection.

These people...this guy...how utterly clueless, reckless, just fking stupid (pardon my language).

"I'm surprised," he said.
Seriously?
Come on....seriously?

"Trump 'surprised' US allies in the Gulf have been targeted. When talking about Iran’s decision to target them, Trump said it was 'the biggest surprise I had of this whole thing.' via @theguardian.com

Now, why would he be surprised? Nobody else outside his delusional sphere is.

Sen. Whitehouse to uncover connections between Trump, Russia, and Epstein.
Sen. Whitehouse to uncover connections between Trump, Russia, and Epstein. YouTube video by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

Have you seen this? Bit lengthy, but most interesting. A bit of a drag in the middle of the speech as the Senator recaps some of the Epstein pedophile crimes, but the case building alleged Russia links is...interesting to consider.

It's not that I'm opposed to countering Iran; I am not. I just think this joker administration lacks the sophistication to do anything well.

Food becoming more calorific but less nutritious due to rising carbon dioxide Researchers noticed ‘dramatic’ changes in nutrients in crops, including drop in zinc and rise in lead

The answer is, of course, "yes, we must."

"We aren’t seeing a simple dilution effect but rather a complete shift in the composition of our foods … This also raises the question of whether we should adjust our diets in some way, or how we grow or produce our food.

100% AGREE with Simon Rosenberg

"there are two areas that Dems must develop a clearer and louder voice on: Trump’s deeply dangerous selling out of Ukraine and Europe to Putin, and his turning of America into a police state. We simply can and must talk about more than affordability and health care."

Listening to a sobering recording from Heather Cox Richardson regarding the fascist, criminal kleptocracy that has seized the government, while reading this absolutely soul-crushing article.
Have a nice day.

When it comes down to it, the U.S. has to convince the world--the allies it needs--that it is fighting for something better than what China, Iran, North Korea, Russia et al are fighting for. I don't think the United States can plausibly make this case today.

Seriously, we've won every war without being lawless scumbags. Why start now? Stay on this path, and we'll be fighting MUCH larger wars in the near future--and we may not win those. Who's going to assist a criminal force fighting illegally for nothing & no one other than a handful of corrupt people?

Pete Hegseth told US soldiers in Iraq to ignore legal advice on rules of engagement Defense secretary shares anecdote in The War on Warriors and rails against ‘rules and regulations’ governing war

There is a history of military service, officer service, in my family. I don't think any of my people would choose to serve in a military that can't be distinguished from something akin to the Janjeweed. Either the U.S. is better, or it's not. Perhaps "not" is where we are today. We're being shamed.

This is very good work, Dr. Macdonald (Chris?).
Thank you for doing it, and congratulations on the paper's stickiness!

I just want to know whether we are going to be able to haul ALL of these criminal clowns into court and convict them, or not?

This is the most corrupt, lawless administration in the history of the United States and there’s no close second.

People ARE the problem. Really, there are no others.

What the Democrat's Video Gets Wrong About Military Professionalism A video circulated yesterday by some U.S. lawmakers urging U.S. service members to “refuse illegal orders,” and within hours, it had become another lightning rod in a long line of political flashpoint...

This is a fine perspective, worthy reading. By and large this holds true, but not in every case. We know this.

However, primarily-accurate analysis does not negate that the President, most definitely, called for the execution of lawmakers.

I've always thought that it is not capitalism per se that is hateful, rather those that practice it at the top who are--these who do not value the natural world or human society. Capitalism smooths the way for the most craven of human impulses to flourish, but it doesn't dictate them.

Can this even be believed?!! Unspeakable depravity. Wealthy tourists in the 90s are alleged to have paid $90K to travel to Bosnia where they were allowed to shoot at besieged civilians in a "human safari."
