My positive outlook is that like last summer we know the final pieces are needed. Berta has a far easier job than what Edu had when he came.
I just hope it’s not project players who need time. That’s my worry with Nico or Gittens. Aim for PL proven and real quality on the continent like Rodrygo.

It would kill you to say this on twitter thougn
I say this with appreciation for Havertz but he is not scoring that goal. Especially with his right foot.
I don’t know if he comebacks but would love to see Saka CF at Bernabeu or Atleti. Then you’re keeping Nwaneri in the team and saving the legs of our best player.
Saka can also play back to goal, strength to hold off defenders and turn. Merino becomes sub CF option.
What players do you actually like lol think you’ve been against every link that has come up
I like the midfield planning Arsenal are doing with Nypan and Zubimendi. Just would be nice if they take the same approach on the attack.
I would recommend fans watch Arteta’s pre match presser today. As direct and clear as he’s ever been around transfers. Sounded like a person who couldn’t hide his frustration anymore.
In one way it’s worse for Spurs because the bar to improve the squad is so low. Arsenal hide behind the excuse they’ll only get someone who can win us the title.
Said this right at the start at Jan and I stand by it. We should be in for him at the price and wages he will want.
All of North London feels the same brother
Yep. I’m quite worried that our execs are becoming incompetent and there is too much on Arteta’s shoulders. Not renewing anyone from our squad this season is another sign we’re not doing enough.
“If one player was available to win the title, they would do it” - sorry that cannot be your transfer strategy. That player unless it’s Vini or Mbappe does not exist.
I would argue Kvara might be that and Arsenal did nothing. The aim is to rebuild the forward line, it needs to start now.
Does he have a release clause? What’s the incentive to let him go? Opportunities opened up for Arsenal in Kvara and Marmoush, we should’ve at least gone for one of them.
Everything about the summer window is bizarre but especially this. Not sure Vieira is good but had to buy someone.
I think Arsenal believed Havertz was title calibre #9 after a good run of form and Saka/Odegaard would stay fit all season again hence lack of business. Two costly miscalculations.
Garnacho there for the goal 👀
I’m just spitballing names as he’s available. Maybe under a better culture we see less of him being a brat.
I’m not really sure. From what I’ve seen he is quite inconsistent but 15 G/A as a 19 yr old is very good. Maybe @adam.cannonstats.com and @scott.cannonstats.com will know more on the underlying numbers.
I’m not really a big fan of his lol but developing rough talents is Arsenal heritage.
I just think Arsenal need to take some gambles on attackers. Our best signing ever under Arteta was Odegaard who more than half of the fanbase didn’t want and was out of favour at Madrid.
Buying low and developing is risky but easier than doing an £80m+ deal which every good attacker is these days
I wonder if fans would take Garnacho at Arsenal. Seems like a brat but can play both wings, good numbers for a 20 yr old and much rather go for him than Rashford.
Will be tough for the club to do everything but feels like they’re clearly waiting for certain targets and that’s gonna cost us this season so if next summer they don’t spent big on attackers pretty sure fans will turn.
Jesus isn’t going anywhere as he’s on a lot of money. Too much overlap of qualities with those two, I’d rather get an #9 who is great in the box or proper wide player.
I can accept the league season being a write off for variety of reasons but this team and manager is too good not to win trophies. Go for Carabao, FA Cup and see what happens in CL
And honestly with our injury pile up top four could be a risk.
Not biggest fan of Cunha’s fit so fine it won’t happen but Arsenal still have to do something to save the season.
If summer target can’t be pushed up, find a young piece that won’t block future business. Or overpay for the second option on the list. Lpool grabbed Gakpo and Diaz in Jan.
I can see Arteta wanting Rashford, he’s been highly complimentary before and type of distressed asset that club might like. Think we need to avoid at all costs tbh the time to get him was two years ago before the new deal.
And he’s been the only attacker we’ve been willing to spend big money for 😬
In Arteta’s brain when we do this it means we will win. But I watch Liverpool concede double the shots and xG, yet come hardly lose. They back themselves to score more.
I wonder if opening ourselves up to encourage the opposition would actually help our attackers get more space.
I would love us to target Lookman in January. Exactly the type of goalscoring mentality we miss. Makes the right runs, gets shots off 1v1, big transition threat. Contract runs out in 1.5 years so this is more realistic than people think.
There a little tactical issues but I struggle to massively blame Arteta’s coaching when we concede 2 shots and have 67% of the ball.
It’s turning our territory and dominance into more chances. That is a player and recruitment issue - ultimately an Arteta/Edu mistake.
When we face well coached mid blocks, we are very reliant on our patterns to create chances and sometimes you need players to force the issue through a pass, dribble, create a yard and shoot.
Arteta deserves blame for this because our attackers can’t do this. Saka and Ø aside.
