Bluesky is the only social media I really engage with anymore and it has taught me that I really don’t NEED social media.

Someone build a bot that auto replies this every time there’s a post complaining about Bluesky not being serious enough or not growing enough or just not being enough.
I hit one in Kansas. I was traveling westward in the interstate, into the wind. It was blowing eastward at windspeed, perhaps 60 mph. Its main stem punched a whole in my front bumper and it stayed stuck there until I pulled it out at the next gas station. Still have the sizable bumper hole.

This guy.
“The small oceanside community surrounding the gas station — the mini-market, the cafe, the hotel and nearby cabins — is owned by Flores and runs on generators because there is no access to an outside electrical plant.”
The second best time to install solar is today, Mr. Flores.
Taking “He is risen” a bit too literally, methinks.
Either phlox or thyme should be decent choices for a rock wall. What varieties did you have?
Still early here. They'll look better soon.
An also the very easy to find Cerastium tomentosum. I buy mots of these in tiny four or six packs. Easier to stuff into the small spaces and I have a high mortality rate due to the conditions.
My best successes have been ice plant varieties, small hen and chicks, and Old Man's Bones sedum which are all quite water-hardy.
Mine's an east-facer at 5K+ foott elevation so lots of morning sun and it can get quite hot in summer. It's in a rain shadow of some trees so very little water and there are lots of airy gaps in the crevices that further dry our roots. I stuff leaf litter in each spring to try to fill up those gaps.
I have some successful rock wall plants but my conditions are much different than yours. Happy to share ideas, though.
Had a similar experience this year the Sunday before MLK Day.
Amazing turnout in Boulder, CO for today’s #NoKings.
Sound up to hear the singing.
We mail-in ballots.
But we show up for democracy.
Hardly the only one!
A digitally produced image of a mannequin head wearing a hat the looks like a nest of black mesh netting with a huge (probably 30 inch leg-span) spider styled like a black widow with glowing yellow eyes but only two of them. For some reason there is vertical text to the right of the image: Real Fashion
I‘ve had Google blur my home and I still get these. Of course! It’s not like a human is involved in their marketing process. But it makes me chuckle.
You mean you don’t want a monogramed pest control hat???
Then shooting up to very out-of-normal-for-March mid-80s by end of week. 😞
Looks like AI to me.
Lessen the power of a large section of workers? Absolutely.
How will it increase the power of working-class men in anything but relative terms? There will be roughly the same number of blue-collar jobs and a lot more people competing for those jobs.
Net win for corporations. Net loss for workers.
Great idea but oceans are no problem for Giant Donkey. Have him drop it off at the gas station and we don't need the little boat anymore!
Obviously it's the hair.
rockets ≠ drones
Except I don’t think he even wants the job, TBH.
Can I pretend that only 41% means we are in the process of becoming another country?
I know it but do appreciate the reminder.
