you don't actually hate what you're creating. if it was made by someone else, you'd like it. you'd say it's cool. you'd say it's inspiring. you can easily imagine another artist drawing this, and someone else liking it. you only doubt it because it's yours. stop. it's okay. you're allowed to be.
Had a(n optional) side rescue of a couple OCs from the first tabletop game that I (and most of my players) was in built into the overall rescue mission. Players were delighted and since that character was a cleric she was able to offer them some healing for their troubles!
