But feminist activists courageously raise their voices, speaking truth to power for a more just world. They aren’t giving up and neither will we.

Sylvia Rivera, a trans Latina trailblazer, co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR) with fellow Stonewall activists in 1970. STAR was one of the first trans-led mutual-aid networks, offering food, shelter, & safety to trans youth who had been abandoned by every institution.
