WHAT WE FOUND: We used different statistical methods to assess if apathy (lack of motivation) in people with PD changed over time. The linear mixed effects models showed a significant increase in apathy each year whereas other methods did not find this increase.

I remember touring the RVC campus as a prospective student and that lecture theatre being the highlight because I recognised it from TV!

Guess we'll just have to be tired af scientists 🥱
Does ESB not cross-check its dates with Glastonbury?
If you drive along the south coast, the New Forest is lovely. Lots of nice little towns, walks, easy cycling, pubs for lunch, and a coastline with ferrys to the Isle of Wight
I was googling sunset times this afternoon to work out how long until I can cycle home in relative light...answer: mid/late Feb

Ah thanks Ben, I signed off for the holidays and now I'm too late 🫠
I have my feet up on the sofa under a grey heated blanket with Christine Yu's book, Up To Speed: The Groundbreaking Science of Women Athletes, on my lap. Nestled beside me is Amber, by golden Cocker Spaniel who has an orange monkey toy under her paw
Relaxing Sunday on the sofa, under a heated blanket, reading Up To Speed: The Groundbreaking Science of Women Athletes by @christineyu.bsky.social before getting back to work tomorrow
A golden spaniel called Amber sits regally in front of a Christmas tree

Great - thank you Paula! I'll check that out over the Christmas break :)
This looks brilliant but I'll have to wait as not on general sale until spring 2024 as far as I can see :(

Here at NUPOC, my bluesky-less colleague is hiring a post-doc research scholar. If you are a recent or soon-to-be PhD grad (or know someone who is) and are interested in prosthetics, orthotics, and rehabilitation engineering, check out this opportunity!

As a non-engineer working in an engineering lab, I've always been amazed and impressed that people write and run code complex enough to be left for hours/days to run.
So I'm _pretty_ smug right now waiting 15 mins for a code to run💅💅💅
Never heard of that in the UK (& I'd have no idea how old an 8th grader even was🤯) but I might do something similar anyway for lay summaries etc...
